Terry, there's a few cars heading down.  I'm sure between us we can find space to bring it back.  PM me to sort out details . . .

Come on you Tassie Mr2 owners - its not too late to enter.
Five cars from Queensland are driving a round trip of nearly 5500kms to come and visit you for the Nationals.
To the MR2 owners in Tassie who have already entered and will welcome us at the events we say thanks!!
To those who haven't we would really like to see you there as well, so as Kevin has said above it just requires filling in an entry form and coming along.
This Forum normally has quite a few Tassie owners who post regularly so it would be great to put faces to names. Don't miss the opportunity.

Greetings, fellow travellers.  I have a small favour/suggestion to offer.  Because my affinity for boats is somewhat less than zero (to the extent that it becomes an entertaining spectacle for any bystanders out side of wretching range) I'm flying Melbourne to Launceston, and Louise will pick me up from there on Friday morning.

For the sake of an extra half an hour, would the convoy consider following her into Launceston, and doing a quick photoshoot outside the National Automobile Museum ?  If I may continue to offer suggestions, then perhaps lunch in Ross, which would be about two and a half hours after leaving the boat.

From there Hobart is about an hour and a half further.

Why Ross?  For those who haven't been to Tassie before, they have the most amazing pies!

Incidentally, travel times don't take into account stops for photoshoots - and Tasmania is full of prime spots!

Great ideas Dennis the Menace (now I know why they call you "The Menace") hehehehe!!!!

All the route itinerary is already printed in the Day by Day section of the MR2 Nationals Souvenir Booklet (you've heard of forward planning I'm sure ..... ;-)  ) which will be handed out at the "Bon Voyage" meet or on the Spirit of Tasmania.

HOWEVER .........
All plans are subject to change, I'm sure we can follow Louise to Launceston for a photo opp and lunch at Ross is a real possibility.  All decisions will be agreed to on the "Boat"

the museum is well worth a look if you have time. Ross is a nice spot too and only a 5 minute detour off the highway, either way you will need to stop for lunch so thats a good option as any! fingers crossed the weather is good

Thanks for the offer for entry but I will not be bringing my car to Tassie. I will be flying down on the Saturday then meeting up with everyone at the car show. After the car show, I will catch up for dinner and the trackday on the Monday.
Really looking forward to the trip!
