Hey mate that SW20 looks serious! The MR2 really belongs on the track :) Just curious what kind of suspension/coilovers you are running and wheels (rim brand/weight, tyre diameter and width). Does a Rev 5 spoiler make a difference at those high speeds? Seems like there's a bit of aero mods to the front of the car as well

It has Tein coilovers. The front wheels are EVO5 17x7.5 and the rears are 17x9 Bok Choi cheapies from a Supra. I suppose that the rev5 wing would make a difference though I haven't compared it to anything else yet. The new wing should definitely give a lot more down force. I'm currently designing a front splitter to keep the front down as well. It should feel much different on the track. I have a dyno tune booked at Unigroup next Wednesday night as I have just fitted 1000cc injectors and am now running E85 fuel. I'm expecting 220kW at the wheels @ 20psi. After that I'll be putting it back on the track for practice after more than 2 years off the track! I can't wait.

Sounds good, looks like you've got it all sorted out. Downforce is something that would def help with the MR2 as some ppl have said it's quite scary at 180km/h +. Hope everything goes well at the dyno tune bossman! P.S Where you the one chasing that HSV Coupe on youtube? Out braked every corner :D

Yes that's my car though with a mate driving it. It was quite rudimentary and low on power back then.

If that was "rudimentary" I can't wait to see what you've got in store

Update - I had it dynoed tonight and it ran well though we discovered that the wastegate actuator was stuffed. It was kind of opening the wastegate and holding 23psi though it ended up dying completely, so now I need to get a new one and take it back so I can set up the EBC and complete the tune. We did get it up to 232kW @23psi though there is more in it than that - i.e. we can put more ignition advance into it. I'm now running E85 fuel with 1000cc injectors, hence the power increase. I'm also limited on power due to my ECU not being able to map over 20psi. My tuner reckons we could safely run between 25psi and 30psi if the ECU could do it. I'm going to stay with the current ECU for now and just make sure the car is reliable (it hasn't been to date). I've posted in the wanted to buy section for a new genuine Toyota wastegate actuator if someone knows where I can get one cheaper than from Toyota. I'll post a dyno graph after I get the final tune done.

From memory the power comes in pretty early so it should be healthy at 3000. I'm still using a CT26 so there is lots of meat. BTW how did you manage to get a score of -3? LOL Got some thumbs down hey?

I forgot to say the 232kW was at 5000rpm because it kept overboosting because of the wastegate actuator. We should get more with higher revs and more ignition advance
