July Event - Fighterworld!
I hope everyone is staying safe amongst the recent outbreaks of COVID-19 popping up across the state. For something to look forward to the MR2 Club is going to Fighterworld!
Fighterworld is a museum dedicated to preserving aircraft from the Royal Australian Air Force and is located at the RAAF Base in Williamtown, just north of Newcastle. If you haven't been before, Fighterworld have a number of displays of ex-military aircraft used throughout the decades including propellor and jet air craft. It's a great opportunity to get a much closer look at the operation and detail of each of the models. Outside the venue is also a few aircraft that we can park around for a great photo opportunity.
Sydney members will meet at Rofe park and drive up the M1 to the venue where you'll meet our Newcastle members to assemble for a group photo and then entry to the museum. The admission price is linked below and they also offer a cafe for lunch if you wish to do so.
Date: Saturday 17th July, 2021
Time: Meet at 8am to leave by 8.30 (Newcastle members to meet at Venue at 10:15am)
Meeting Place: Rofe Park, Hornsby, NSW, 2077
