Swaybar hitting body

Chasing a clunk when i hit a straight edge bump with both front wheels I found the swaybar has been contacting the body on both sides.  The car has unknown yellow (king I assume) springs and is lower than stock.  Is this a problem when lowering with the stock end links? or is there something else going on?

    Can't see any pic.
    Has the swaybar been removed recently?
    If so has it been replaced upside down?
    Very easily done, and that would cause noises. 
    Ask me how I know, lol.

    The body where the front sway bar mounts has a habit of deforming, you can buy aftermarket reinforcement plates.  Jack up the car and take off the plastic under tray and have a look what is going on.
