1992 MR2 Ferrari F355 Replica Conversion
Hi guys, I am going to be purchasing this MR2 displayed above, although I am not familiar with these cars. I do know that most people use these to build Ferraris and Lamborghinis. However I am wanting to purchase this for that reason, I am wanting to replicate a Ferrari F355, would anyone have any ideas on body kits I can use? I want to keep the car together but add kits on it. Has anyone here done this before? and is there anything I should know before trying this? If somebody can tell me the series of this MR2 that would be great also. Is there a particular f355 year model I should be aiming for? Thanks guys

Hi, that would be an sw20 mr2. Got any images of anything similar to your vision? Sounds interesting.
Are you interested in any performance modifications as well?

Thankyou Aiming for something similar to these images. Performance mods are a possibility, any recommendations if I do?

Cheers mate, I have spoken to them but unfortunately, they don't want to pass on to much information. They do do great work though

That looks like a fun project. That one looks to have had a v6 conversion. What engine does yours have?

Hi Nugget....just in case you haven't seen this classic 2 part clip on You Tube. Watch an MR2 turbo hold off a Ferrari 355 on the roads of France. The guy in the Ferrari was given a driving lesson. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uorkdRJqk5k Good luck with your project.

The MR2 SW20's closest "Ferrari look alike" is the 328 Ferrari. It was this model Ferrari that the SW20 was said to have copied in all the Auto magazines at the time. Google images will show you why!!
