A mechanic for the Newcastle guys to avoid

Just a quick one guys.

If you're a Newcastle local I would recommend avoid Darby St Auto. I took my Adub to them a couple of months ago for a tune. When I went to pick up the car they told me that they had done a compression test and that 2 cylinders were less than 70psi and the others were 125 and 155. They charged me half an hours labour for the privilege of telling me so.

I was preparing myself for having to replace the engine soon but luckily visited my brother this week and did a compression test myself while I was there. Long story a little shorter, the engine is fine with good compression across all 4 cylinders. The kicker is that I have a late model engine so the compression is higher than the standard 155.

I can only assume that they either did not do a compression test and made up the results, or they do not know how to do a compression test properly. Either way it is not good enough and I know I will not take my car back to them.
