Well unfortunately for me the night was a failure.

Lined up for the first run. Gave some revs and slipped the clutch. Car hooked up then lost traction, regained traction and the drivers side CV shaft exploded.

Tow truck home. Could have been worse though!

Time to upgrade CV's

It not a failure mate, just a chance for development.

Some photos of the damage on the CV.

I was extremely close to having a ball bearing go through my block.

I have borrowed a friends driveshaft to get me back on the road.

With one problem fixed, another arises. The immobilizer is now remaining armed. The only way to get the car to start is to go into the boot, remove the aurion key, disconnect the key switch wire, ignition on, reconnect key switch and put the key back in the reader.

After I do this it will run 50% of the time. My frustration levels are getting quite high with this car.

Is your key switch wire connected to the key barrel switch?
If not might be worth doing, in testing mine it seems fine just to ground it but if you read the manual on how the immobiliser works it does expect it to only engage when the key is inserted, maybe it's an extra layer of security

Its hooked straight up to earth.

It's never had a problem since I got it running so I don't know why its chucking a tantrum now. I will put a switch on it and see if I can coax it into being nice

I still haven't got mine fully running but for test starting I have grounded it, but funny if I disconnect it car still starts.
According to the manual the key amplifier coil should not energise until Ksw is detected

And the results of my dyno run yesterday.....

187.7Kw. It made this exact number over two runs. No torque figure unfortunately as we were checking AFR's to ensure my engines safety
