Good work mate. Very rewarding.

Have you thought about simply replacing/upgrading the alt wiring if you think there's corrosion?

I have thought about it, but for the moment I will run the two in parallel.

You should remove the tachometer completely and just fit a monster volt gauge

Made up a custom strut brace to clear the intake manifold.

Material is 1.6mm tube with 3mm gusset plates.

Can make more up if anyone wants one

I finally got arround to replacing the Oxygen sensor wiring for the rear bank last night. This melted on the way down to Sydney so i disconnected it.

It honestly feels like the car has picked up 20 or 30hp. Shoves me right back in the seat now!

Going to the local drag racing strip tomorrow night, see what sort of times I can pull :)

If you don't run a high 12, I will be very sad.

Should be on the cards. Here is an old quote from Gouky.

Gouky wrote:Yup, the 2GR-FE is what i pulled off the 13.1 second quarter mile with. keep in mind that was with 18" street tires and 3.625 final drive. the car definitely wasn't setup for drag racing. With the stock E153 and some better tires for drag racing, it would definitely shave enough to be in the very high 12's. Some weight reduction would go a long way also, my MR2 is still full weight.
