I'm trying lol.. More not so good news: This is what engine and exhaust mounts look like when you constantly expose them to exhaust heat: But as usual, I'll figure something out and make it to MTC! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

     - New engine mount is on, - New tie rods machined and fitted (using a combination of new and old), - Suspension geometry correction kit fitted, - All bushes replaced, - Not enough time to replace the cooked exhaust mount, so just wrapped the exhaust portion near it to prevent further cooking. Will fix it properly post MTC. - The car drives "safely" now to say the least. Didn't have time to fine tune stiffness or sway bar adjustment.. But new track (1st time at Wakefield) means let's start from neutral setup and see how it goes. - Didn't have time to machine front rotors. I'll have to put up with the "shakes" on braking. But I'm told Wakefield is not too hard on the brakes(?) - Still planning/considering a DYI/ghetto style bonnet vent (especially with the weather ahead). I might just do it to work/function now, and to look pretty post MTC, I'll see. I can now say that MTC is GO! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

At least you'll be able to monitor the coolant temp and get an idea of how it will be when you do it properly later.
Wakefield isn't as hard on the brakes as some other tracks. There's one major braking zone and two moderate ones. The rest are very brief.

Unfortunately was only able to do 1st day of MTC. Was heaps of fun, and great thanks to everyone involved in organising it. Car performed well, suspension was very good as a baseline. Fine tuning required to eliminate understeer, but I'll get there. Temperature was not on my side, water temp went up a tiny bit, supercharger felt hotter than an exhaust manifold.. Time for water injection! Decided it's time to start going through the tens of jobs on my list.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Are your headers ceramic coated? They still get really hot?

Might be worth wrapping them or making some exhaust shields as well.

Very nice build Lucas, exactly something I'd like to do with mine, especially it being a 3SGE at the moment. Would anyone happen to know what exactly the swap will involve? I'm basically already sorted with the engine and can pick it up whenever I'm ready, but would like to get everything ready so the car isn't off the road for too long and all the parts are sourced myself. Will the stock 3SGE gearbox etc. hold the power increase or will that all have to go?

Don't know heaps but I do know the stock 3SGE gearbox won't hold if you're going V6 or forced induction. Some people have said it does work with the S54 series gearbox (that comes with the 3SGE), but you are going to break it eventually if you do that. You'll have to get yourself a turbo gearbox - the E153 series
