I saw this car at the Qld Nationals, and it certainly deserved the People's Choice award. Fantastic car, amazing paint job, and an absolute credit to it's owner.

The paint job is amazing. Just wondering, how much did it cost for the respray? Obviously it'd cost more incl. the paint-stripping labour, etc. but just as a rough ball-park idea.
I really like how your's turned out, and in the future hope for a very similar paint job or maybe even a closed door respray back to OEM yellow (makes me sad how Google images yellow 2s are so shiny meanwhile mine is matte as)

One of the best looking mr2's out there! Glad you ended up choosing to keep a clean 'stock' look for the body, it looks perfect I wouldn't change a thing. I certainly have a lot of work left on mine before it even gets close to this level!

Thanks Buddy, it all takes time and money but worth it at the end.

Hi Eddie, I'll add my name to the list of the impressed. I also saw your car at the Nationals in Qld. Very nice. Any goss on what you did to the engine to keep it "stock" ;) Curious to know what sort of turbo you went with and what you had done to the ECU? I've been reading a bit on the ATS Racing website about the ATS ROM ECU tuneup? Cheers Col

Re built bottom end and head completely stock bolted on a equivalent GSR turbo, performance clutch, apexi intake, doubled the core A to A intercooler, Halltech ECU and Armour motorsport tune "Magic" 13 sec 1/4 mile all day.

Re bolted on a equivalent GSR turbo,
Is that the lancer GSR turbo? and from which year? just curious what advantage there was running this over a 20B? I see some of the later generation EVO turbos have some good spec's from their twin scroll turbos but it would take quite an interestingly designed adapter plate to adapt it to the factory 3S manifold.

Awesome build man that is one beautiful SW20. You deserve all the awards it gets. You've clearly put the hard yards in to get it where it is today. One thing I noticed was the dump pipe gasket, you went with what looks like a thin SS. Any reason for that over OEM? I only ask because I had to do it and waited 2 weeks for the OEM gasket.

It was good to come into MCM Nationals behind your car, shame we didn't get to meet up but with you at the drags and me at the motorkhana it gets difficult to meet up with people. I did manage to film your race with my mate from the MCM forums Jenga. Mind the potato spec quality film: https://youtu.be/s7ZiyBMU49U
