just_Ace, from the look of it. Springs are the same between Gen 3 3sgte and Gen 3 3SGE. I'm curious to know if swapping the intake cam from the Gen3 3SGE -> Gen 3 3SGTE will make much difference. I've read you don't swap in the exhaust cam as it causes too much overlap and creates too much heat. Do you need to degree the cam if doing this, or can you just plug and play for some gain on a standard ECU.

every component changed Gen2 to Gen3. Gen 2 springs are different GE to GTE, but in Gen 3, the springs were the same
 
if you dont want to change the ECU, you will never get the real benefit of modified cams. The factory ECU cannot 'learn" its ignition map is locked
