Name is Scott I have a 1991 black hardtop which started life as a NA until the engine decided to spin some bearings. In came a gen II 3sgte from a donor car I picked up for $150. Since then a lot has happened with the car with it runing and not running. Current mods are ViPEC ecu, TD06, external gate, aftermarket exhaust, 540cc injectors, bored rail (home job), eBay cooler, walbro 255, 3" dump, k&n pod, KYB super streets struts with TRD springs, adjustable sway bar links, cusco castor rods (to be installed), BBS LM's. I am at the point to have exhaust re-plumbed and get it to the dyno. I made 180hp with the old stock ecu, hi-flow ct26, 440cc running extremely rich in the 10's (afr) so I am hoping for a bit more. I work in the oil and gas industry out in the beautiful Cooper basin desert.

Hi "nate-p" and Scott. Welcome to a group of people who are extremely smart like yourselves because they drive the best value sports car for the money in the world. FYI the Mr2 Owners Club of Australia Queensland Chapter is an incorporated association in Queensland as part of a broader like-minded group of MR2 owners across Australia. If you want to join the Club its probably the cheapest car club in Queensland to belong to at $20.00 per year. We have organised activities every month, sometimes two or three depending on what members are doing, but mostly our outings consist of a Run on the third Sunday. We don't call them a "Cruise" because our cars are for driving on twisty roads, not posing on the Esplanade at Surfers , although we have been known to have displays at the All-Japanese Day, Motors In Motion, etc. Perhaps the biggest positive thing about the Club is that politics of all shapes and sizes is a complete no-no; we are very informal and try to let everyone just enjoy themselves. We use this Forum to communicate most Club information, although the Forum is not an initiative of the Club or run by it. I will be sending you a Run Sheet for this coming Sunday via a PM so you can check out whether or not you might want to join us for the day. My number is on the bottom of the sheet so if you want to call and discuss the Club please do so. We look forward to getting to meet you both and hope you will come along and contribute in whatever you can to promote these great cars. Regards, Walter

Rob, is the respray finished yet? If so why not come on the Run next Sunday and meet some of the group? I will PM you with my number to call if you want more details. Hope to catch up soon, Walter.

Hi all, My names sean and i live on brisbane's northside. I own a 1988 AW11 G-Limited MR2 and have done for about 7 years. It has only been on the road for about 12months of that. lol. I had some peanut side swipe the car about 4 years ago and it's been in the garage ever since. The damage has been repaired but it needs to be resprayed. The car is going to have a full rebuild as it's been sitting so long. So far i have a water to air intercooler, aluminium radiator, 12psi clutched pulley, HKS PFC, 30 row oil cooler, aluminium pulleys, stainless extractors, KSport coilover suspension, whiteline front and rear sway bars. I think thats it for now :)

Hi seanay00, great to hear from you. If you are interested in joining the Club we have a great group of people with a huge amount of knowledge about these cars who enjoy driving them. The Club has two excellent qualified Technical Directors (Scope and Dennis The Menace) and we normally have a Run every month. In fact our September Run has just happened last Sunday and if you take a look on the Queensland Forum page under the "Fredhoon Memorial Deep South Run" you will see all three MR2 models represented. Right now there is a group preparing to drive 5500km to attend the bi-annual MR2 Nationals in Tasmania, so our next activity won't be until the 12th of October. Unlike a lot of other Clubs the fees are purposely kept low ($20.00 per year) and the level of Club "politics" is even lower. Your car would make a great addition to our AW11 line up (I have a 1989 Aw11 S/C) and if you need any help or assistance with getting the car going just let us know. Hope to see you on a Club activity soon and PM me if you have any questions. Best regards, Walter

Hi Guys Name's Clinton, an engineer from the Gold Coast and am the proud 2-week old owner of a '94 SW20 Bathurst edition Custard Pod :) 180,000 k's on the clock, in overall generally good nick but few little things that will need to get sorted over time. As stock as she comes with the goal of more or less keeping her that way. Had 2 turbocharged Silvias before hand and really wanted to just try something completely different, and let's just say I'm so damn glad I made the change! Have only done a few minor things so far (few maintenance things, buff/polish the paint, give the wheels a new lease on life and the sound system as well), with the overall goal being to have a tidy, clean streeter that won't be too out of its league on the track as well - ITBs, better sized wheels/tyres, perhaps some suspension, but nothing too drastic as I love the feel of it already! Looking forward to getting to know you guys, would certainly love to get involved in some meets and non-cruises :) also have plenty of questions too as I learn this new platform. ^^ That's what it does to my face... content :)
