So, who is doing the spectator thing. Would be good to know what other people are doing & where they are staying, etc. Seriously thinking about this now. My leave for Nationals has been cut by 6 days & leave for trackday has been cut by 2, and the accountant/office manager just informed me that she will be back for a few days at the end of the 3 months (time off due to ill husband), & then taking a week annual leave. gggrrrr. I didn't have a problem when she said she didn't want to come back & have to do payroll in the middle of everything else (which is why trackday leave is cut), but then to say she will be taking annual leave, ggrrrrr. (just my rant, that I can't put on FB )

That all seems so unfair Sharon. I wish there was something that could be done. It seems like they're taking advantage of your good nature...

Nah, the bosses are good. And I kinda understand the accountant/office manager's position. Hopefully her husband comes through all ok. Looking at the positives, I'll be able to cash in some annual leave, so will be better off financially.

Loved seeing that you have signed up for Targa Pat. Also glad i read stuffing bigger internals into a stock turbo in the same breath. Billet wheels are all the rage these days so should be a few options out there.

GCG high flow ct26's with gtx3071r internals from memory. Just make sure you tell them to upsize the flapper or at the very least port the wastegate opening, as if you dont tell them, they dont do it and it boost creeps like nothing else.

They did the flapper upgrade for mine though it still crept. I had to port the wastegate myself and now it no longer creeps. Photos of what I did are in my build thread

Its been a long winter here in Hobart and for various reasons I have done little to the car for the last few months. I did dust off the car and compete in a hill climb last weekend. The domain hill climb is just on the edge of the Hobart CBD and is very popular. The whole day was fascinating with some 'David and Goliath' duels between 2WD and 4WD cars. I finished 2nd in class and 4th outright against some serious sets ups, I was also awarded driver of the day and was really humbled by that. The car ran exceptionally well, on the day I learned more about my own and the cars capabilities than any event before, together we pushed and improved throughout the day. What a blast! Interesting reading above in regard to turbos, thanks Nathan and Glenn. Im looking into my options at the moment and will post up some options for opinions.

Congratulations on the great result. If I wasn't running the Wakefield Park Challenge one day meet on Monday, I would be there. Best of luck with Targa

Last month I had a big crash at Baskerville raceway. The chassis is bent and Im not going to straighten it. As a result I have sourced a nice straight hardtop and Im starting with a clean slate. The car is totally stripped and the roll cage will be installed in September. Looking forward to creating this monster!

For years I used to work in a tiny garage with crap everywhere and I swore if I ever had a decent garage I would keep it schmick, so far so good!
