I think you should eliminate the likely cause of the problem, rather than adding more bits (cash) to try and fix it.

waiting on adj. cambertops., will get it after that. trying to do a few things in one go. if i cant find a resonably priced adjustable tie rod ends then the RCA's will be ditched. i did drive the car on the weekend to my local mechanic 3 mins down the road to see if they can help with the damper adjustment nut that was stuck, they managed to half help me but it just needed some time with some wd40, it drives ok and is now quite stiffer after i fiddled with damper settings but i can still feel somethings not right in the rear end. feels wobbly lol, im sure the alignment is the majority of it, will have to wait couple of weeks for the cambertops to get here. cheers

after doing a lot of reading i figured out that excessively lowered cars def. benefit from running RCA's but for RCA's to work i need the adj. tie rod ends which is why im trying to source some before the adj. camber plates arrive and i can get the alignment done. easy way out is not to use the RCA's which i might end up doing by the looks of it. problem is i cant find much info on procuring any adj. tie rod ends for the sw20 locally. people who know somethign about it arent willing to help either. cheers

ok so the alignment was done, didnt get a sheet printout so dont know the numbers now but all wheels are sitting well passenger front wheel had a lot of toe out but everythign else wasnt too bad the car still has the rear end swaying, it has slightly gotten better but i can still feel it not settled if i turn the steerign wheel from left to right while driving (like they do in the F1 races lol) its like its wobbling around/swaying in the back end a bit and then settles, front feels fine i also noticed accelerating into a freeway entrance etc, the rear end is quiet bouncya nd quiet scary so i had to back off the throttle the RCA.s are still in there as we decided to keep them on and see if the alignment fixed the issue.. the issue is only the rear is doing it, the front feels quite nice could somethign else be out of whack in the rear??? didnt think changing over to coilovers were going to be this bad also found out that i had cut springs in my previous suspension so it was quite firm, the oilovers i ahve now feel much softer cheers

Toe out on the rear?
Sounds to me like a damping issue on the back given the bouncy thing. Try tightening up the rebound damping a bit and see if it makes a difference, if it doesn't then try the compression..... But remember try one thing at a time so you know whats affected the change.

If you want the rear to be stiffer, you can pretension the spring up so that its stiffer. you'll increase your rear right height a little, but i found that when i did that it did handle better overall. the SS on lowest setting is quite soft.

The knob on the top is probably compression. I reckon adjust the rebound if you can cause it will slow the springs return to normal and stop the car bouncing back as the load comes off the wheel. Stand to be corrected by any suspension experts out there

im not real keen on adjusting the ride height as i like it where it is now but if thats the only way then ill have to do it what do you mean by lowest setting, as in lowered ride height or lowest damper setting ??? TRD2000

how am i adjustign the rebound?? is this the same as what dylan has suggested?? looks like ill need someone in Melbourne who really knows about sw20 and coilovers to have a look at the car anyone want to help me out?? scared to drive the car because of this.. cheers

When I mean pretensioning the spring, I mean winding the bits under the springs up so that it shortens the distance between the bottom of the spring and the top of the strut. This will make it stiffer, but at the same time increase the ride height. The other option is to get some after market springs that are a little stiffer than the 5kgs (e.g. get some 6kg springs) from Swift or another aftermarket spring company. I assume you've already wound the damper settings to the hardest setting as well (I never really noticed a huge amount of difference when I had my SS).

damper isnt fully hard as it says not to go fully hard in order to avoid destroying the shocks.. i wound the cliker all the way clockwise until it stopped, then wound back counterclockwise 10 times for the back so not really sure where the dampening is atm as its so confusing turn it this way then back that way lol
