Well the turbo has been done.... Brand new GT3582R core in my car now. 
Except I still have some intermittent smoke from potential worn valve stem seals :( 

I think i'll have to say i'm out until at least mid-to-late next year.

You sure it's the valve stem seals Tim, and not the rings?
valve stems are usually smokey only on startup.

Valve stem seals will usually leak on the overrun...

It seems to only occur after intense vacuum on hot days. i.e. acceleration after a long downhill/deceleration stretch.

It isn't too serious, and happens pretty infrequently...

zmit - what grade oil are you using in your machine?  GTE's like to eat thin oils, especially past the valve stems and various other gaskets lol
