HAHA! Scared your wallet just then didn't I.....lol Compared to the cost of a PFC + tune, it's not a huge difference if you're patient & prepared.

This long weekend I finished installing the APEX lowered springs on the front. The difference between the King springs is night and day! The APEX sit the car completely level (maybe very slightly higher at the back) It seems to be absorb the bumps better and is much more comfortable. Shocks are set on full soft, no idea what brand though. The car sits a little higher now as well. I also swapped out the shagged front roll bar bushes with new OEM ones whilst I was under there. Attempted to change the ball joints as well but couldn't get them off easily (Kinda gave up didn't try too hard :) Here is a quick pic after I had taken it for a drive to settle the springs.

Okay, so for anyone thinking of mounting an AW11 oil pressure sender to a 3sgte Gen3 head here is the part you need to make it happen. 1/8 BSP female to 1/8 BSP male adapter/extension. Cost for one of these is roughly $2.00 You need to use the short extension so the larger sender clears the engine hook. The standard gen 3 oil pressure switch is tiny in comparison which obviously fits without issue. Am happy now that every gauge in the AW11 cluster works exactly as it should with the 3sgte :)

15% window tint would suit it nice too. Can refer you to someone that'll do it cheap (about $150).

That's a good price Jay. I am thinking of tinting it. In other news I purchased another piece of AW11 memorabilia to go with my original Japanese brochure. Might display it in the library at home.

It is cool isn't it. Apparently this Fujimi model kit was made in the 80s. Everything seems to be in decent un-used condition inside.

Jay I haven't put a car together for a looong time. Maybe since I was about 10 when I used to build model aircraft as well :) I'll keep this one complete in the box I think as it might be a semi-rare one being so old.. Would need RdS to confirm though :) I might buy the current Fujimi AW11 kit on Ebay and build that.

More stuff arrived from OS today. KO Racing 7.5inch intercooler fan shroud and SPAL fan. The shroud feels well made out of thick stainless and has studs sticking out of it to easily attach the fan. I'm hoping the 7.5in fan will sound less like a vacuum cleaner then the 9in does :) Kirk AW11 engine mount inserts I pretty much have all my bits now for another visit to the mechanic. I'll get him to do the following: Front ball joints x2 CT20B turbo Berk Gen3 dump pipe Kirk engine mount inserts Powder coat valve cover silver/grey colour Replace hose from hell and all that stuff whilst the turbo/DP is out Maybe replace the current hacked together 2-2.25in exhaust B pipe with some 3in mandrel bends up to the downstream cat which is connected to the HKS muffler. * Intercooler fan/shroud will be installed and wired by myself this weekend most likely. An old school Apexi Twin chamber BOV should be arriving this week as well which includes the MR2 hotpipe adapter. I think the factory BOV I have might not be working correctly so this Apexi will be an interesting test.

This weekend was productive again for the little adub. Fitted the KO intercooler fan & shroud. This was a very close fit but works perfectly. Excellent suction at the side air vent. An old school Apexi bov arrived on Friday which I also fitted. Tightened the spring up so it only goes off at highish boost levels. Pretty bloody loud though :) I found someone online selling some 80s Toyota Auto cover fog lights. Not exactly the same as the AW11 ones but very close. For the grand total of $30 I'm not complaining haha. If anyone knows what they are from I'd be interested to know. I'll install these next weekend when they arrive and hook them up to an Euro AW11 rear fog light switch that I'll install in the dash where the blank button is under the wiper knob. Gave the car a much needed wash today and took a few pics.
