Picked up my car from the mechanic after having a whole heap done to it. I can't believe how different it is now.
Shifting is excellent, suspension soaks up bumps well and rattles/noises have dissapeared.
The work that was done is as follows:

Both rear ball joints
Both rear control arms
Both rear tie rod arms
Both rear strut rod bushes either end
Drive-shafts serviced
Gearbox drive-shaft seals replaced
Gearbox oil leak fixed and filled with Elf synthetic Gbox oil
Engine coolant hose re-routed to suit a planned new side mount intercooler. (Job for the holidays for me)
Both rear wheel bearings and seals replaced
Both rear hubs replaced
Front and rear wheel alignment

The Kirk engine mount inserts did not fit as the mounts used are AW11 supercharger ones.
Also the AC compressor wasn't able to be mounted due to it hitting a custom coolant outlet welded on to the thermostat outlet pipe. Fairly easy fix for this one, just not this visit.
Rear tyres just touching the guards so a guard rolling dude is coming out on Saturday to roll them.

Overall massive improvement from what it was before :)

Also purchased a good condition 97 spec leather knob from Keith in HK. This will replace the heavily worn one I bought from DB8 as a test unit.

How's the ride on the King springs?

Did you get the F/R ride height balance sorted?

Go soothingly on the grease mud as there lurks a skid demon.

The Kings ride well. Quite comfortable with the 15in wheels.

The rear is lower than the front which I'm still not sure what i'm going to do about it. I will most likely remove a little from the front springs so that it is level and then replace the lot with coilovers next year.

I got it with out the simmons wheels and put black 5 spoke 15s on it.

Had a terrible habbit of spitting water pumps which ended up being its downfall lol

Ahh yep I've seen that one on a forum before. Pretty creative intercooler placement, must work well?

I'm in the process of adapting a side mount SW20 Greddy style intercooler into the AW11. Quite tricky with the amount of room available.

Yer I got it off my mate who I believe got it from the guy who built it.

Yer it did work well even taking into account the heat in the nt. The temp drop was quiet substantial.

She used to rocket. But like I said ate waterpumps for breakfast haha

Hmm there is very little room on the drivers side near the vent with the 3S in there.

Boot/floor mount? With a fan to draw up from the bottom? .

Depends if u use the boot i guess ;)

I am mounting it exactly where it would be in an SW20. Up against the side vent hole in the AW11.
I've made a large alloy mounting plate and then bolted the IC to the plate.
Still a work in progress, hopefully finish most of it tomorrow.

Everybody says its not possible to have a side mount in a mk1.5 but I'm hoping to prove them wrong :)
