I reckon these Recaros currently listed on RPM Garage are a good buy.

Ordered some new plates for the little beast today. Was going to get a premium colour but the black/white is fine and cheap. They are just basic personalised plates anyway and better than the random text on my current ones.
Shouldn't be too hard to work out what it means :)

I will hopefully get my recently aquired clear rear visor mounted up this weekend as well which will be nice.

Was fag?

More goodies arrived yesterday.

Front strut tops, rear wheel bearings and wheel bearing seal kits.

Dropping the car off at the mech this Saturday to have the following work carried out:

Replace both rear control arms OEM
Replace both rear ball joints OEM
Replace both rear tie rods with Twosrus replacement units
Replace rear strut rod bushes OEM (Both ends)
Install Kirk engine mount inserts F & R
Both rear wheel bearings and seal kits OEM
Fix gearbox fluid leak
Pink slip for rego

The above should solve some of the rattles and sloppiness in the rear suspension :)

I'm taking it to Paul. He has organised a Rav4 courtesy car for me which will be handy :)

In the interests of record keeping here is a pic of all the parts that will be getting installed at this trip to the mech. All rear end suspension parts mainly.

Some update pics from the mechanic.

Confirmation that the car has a late model E153 with LSD :) very happy about this find. Seller told me he thought it had a non lsd box. Looks dirty in the pic but just the flash causing it.

Nothing too exciting in this pic. The driveshafts were sent away to be checked and reconditioned if required. Only work that needed to be done was a new boot on one end and a tiny bit of surface rust polished off.

Just a pic of the new control arms and tie rod arm thingies installed. Not pictured is the new balljoints on the end of the control arms.

New gearbox seals have been ordered from Castle Hill Toyota for when the driveshafts go back in.

Here is another item which came in the mail and I actually forgot to take it to the mechanic with the rest of the parts.
A pair of brand new rear hubs. I thought seeing as though I'm changing the rear wheel bearings and seals why not do new hubs at the same time. Turns out one of the hubs on my car is stuffed so the mech needs these asap.
