There is an unused rebuilt steel wheel c20b on mr2oc.com for US$800.

Love where you are going with this car mate.

I've looked at that one a couple of times and have been thinking about it. Another $800 bux on the car this week might push the marriage a bit too far at the moment haha.
It is a good price and shipping wouldn't be too bad as the seller is in Hawaii.

Cheers for the compliment!

Thankfully for you, there's no rush. I'd just continually trawl Yahoo Japan & keep on Dylan/Shane's tail for when a decent bolt on turbo pops up.

Received a package today thanks to Lindsay in Victoria. AE82 Corolla factory deep dish steering wheel. Same as Mk1a AW11.

And what it looks like installed. I didn't bother cleaning the car or anything so the following photo makes in look a bit messy inside.

Bride rails arrived today. Took almost 4 weeks. They must have been made to order.
The seats have a couple of marks on them but will do for now. The seating position is much better, more headroom and just feels awesome overall.

Been a while since I've done anything to the car but here's a small update.

Had some spare cash sitting in my Paypal account so thought I'd buy a set of those gearbox cable spherical bearings to install. I've been suspicious that the factory rubber bushes might be a bit worn judging by the feeling I get through the shifter. Sometimes the odd gear change feels a little notchy or just not crisp enough.

I was going to buy the CRW kit from the US but instead decided to support Aussie small business and bought them from DeltaV (forum sponsor) for about $60 plus postage. http://www.deltav.com.au/...gory_id=1&Itemid=5

Straight out of the package this is what I received. Nice little install guide and the required bearings, washers, clips. Only other item you might need which isn't included is some sandpaper if the bearings don't just drop straight in

I won't go into detail on the installation but it was relatively straight forward. Prob took about 30mins including having to sand down the inside of one of the cable ends so the bearing would fit in. It is not unusual to have to sand something when replacing these bushes with either spherical, brass or skateboard bearings.
The rubber bush on the top lever was trashed and in pieces. The lower bush was not too bad, hardly worn.

Took it for a test drive and the notchyness feeling is gone with shifting feeling more direct.

Note: This kit is designed for an SW20 and as my AW11 has all the running gear/driveline from an SW20 meant it was suitable. It may work on the factory AW11 NA & SC boxes, not sure though. You would have to check with the manufacturer.

The other thing I did was raise the car up 10mm front and back as it was sitting pretty damn low. I think the coilover springs had settled a little. With it slightly higher the ride quality and handling has improved with much less bump steer.

Peace out.

Gave it a quick wash this morning and took a few pics. Nothing has changed since the last pics but thought eh why not.

I wish more people would post pics, I'll never get tired of looking at MR2's, and your Adub is particularly nice. It must be one of the best in the country.
