Thanks everyone. As tempting as it sounds I probably can't afford a new engine and gearbox atm. Uni break is coming up (it's not much of a break) and I should have time to work on my car. I'll be counting on your guidance MRVirgin :)

I got some info on the clutch release bearing that I ordered. It's made by Nachi. Here's where I ordered it: http://www.vxb.com/page/bearings/PROD/Kit12543_2 Yes it's cheap, may not be a genuine part but there's something wrong with Toyota wanting $160 for a bloody bearing.

FYI Nachi is a bloody huge company and most cars probably have one or two nachis in them.
