    basics as follows in principle.
1: hiflow K&N replacment panel filter
2: mandrel bent extractors into a hiflow cat and 2.25-2.5in exh with free flowing mufflers
3: camshafts starting from 264 dur hilift (gen3 na already have a 250dur IN cam)
4: ECU upgrade to get the most out of cam upgrade, stock ecu should cope with 264's but prob not with 272-300dur cams.
5: rebuild engine with high comp pistons, port work and increase valve sizes.

15.3 sounds quick for an N/A, good work.
hard to get much more power out of an N/A, unless you're really passionate :P

I always say it, but when there's a turbo engine that bolts directly in I don't see the point of working an NA motor. By the time you've got a full exhaust, decent intake, cams etc you could just buy a 3SGTE and still have more power.
If you're under restrictions of some sort, then put your money towards suspension. Springs, shocks, swaybar, bushes and tyres. I'd much rather a car with great suspension than an extra 40kw.

    ^what he said
Whiteline front swaybar made a HUGE difference to mine. Negated the need for overly stiff coilovers.

I'd go turbo, but if you just want to tinker cheaply beyond the usual intake/headers/exhaust you can add a plate to the plenum (common modification in Japan NA's). Additionally, have a bit of fun with some giggle gas (50 dry shot).

15.3 is actually quite respectable for an NA 3SGE.

+1 to sorting out your suspension/chassis/brakes before you go chasing power out of a 3SGE.

What black93 is saying I think is true. It doesn't make sense to work an NA motor when there's a bolt in turbo replacement. Atleast in the $ - Kw department but if you love NA engines then fair enough.

just_ace's build list is spot on. But be prepared for it to cost a lot. I'd just get the panel filter and extractors, stop there, and then start saving for a V6/turbo swap.

buy a red-top Beams 3SGE from NZ.  Wire it in and then you win.
