Wow, this is awsome!! Just excelent... One question, are the quadlights illigal?? Been wanting some for my car, but been told they are illigal or is in not over there in WA??

Cheers

Dom

Dom - unfortunately thgere are a lot of myths floating around re: compliance, legality etc - all products of ill-informed opinion - my car passed the pits inspection with the quad lights in, by qualified inspectors, nad was given a full clean bill of helath.  I hid nothing and in fact showed everything, including items I was unsure about.  There seems to be no issues - haven't been pulled or harrassed by them.  I also read the VSB 14 docs and ADR's prior to installing them and found no reason they could not be installed.  The kit comes from Rogue with EU compliance certification mentioned in the documentation, and was confirmed following the pits PASS.

I have hear of problems with the American-sourced versions as State-side MR2 owners drive on the opposite side of the road, meaning the dip and angle of the headlamps would glare drivers here if installed.  Assuming you can adjust these angles (which I'm sure you can by the adjustable retaining screw/bolts) then the problem would be easily managed.

BUT - the ADR's are clear, and the VSB's advise you on what you can and can't do.  And if there is a reasonable mod which CAN'T be done, there will (usually) be a way to "engineer" the mod - that is get a report htat state sit  meets the ADRs by a certified motor engineer - list available from the Dept of Transport website.

I for one would recommend Rogue, the quad lamps are great, and the full beam is a particular improvement - great for driving at night on isolated roads - excellent vision, better lateral illumination than stock.  Their after-sales service and support was great too, in the face of claims from one installer tha there were parts missing.  Fully recommended mate
Good luck!

Erm for an old post, but anyway...

If your lights have the 'EU' symbol on them or even a confabulated long series of numbers as part of the mould, they pass ADR's. Waving a piece of paper that came with the lights the have the EU symbol or the confabulated long series of numbers on it does not count. It must be moulded into the lens.

This is all good and well for taillights, headlights not so good as Europe, Rest of the world (except for countries who think alike) and USA like to drive on the wrong side.
You'll bedazzle oncoming drivers if you have LHD headlights. Normally means that you'll annoy the bejesus out of oncoming drivers and 'may' cause a collision.
More likely means you'll annoy on oncoming cop who then may cast an eye on the rest of your car. He may then refer your car to evil entities such as epa, or something they have in SA called 'Regency' whatever that is...

Hopefully Daz can get some photos of this beast soon.

He snapped this one quickly, doesnt do the car any justice but does show its width compared to a standard car.

The power this thing delivers, and the way it delivers it is insane!

Er, OK then...  :)

Some pics taken a few days after final tweaks, went up for a cruise with my friend Lana, a photographer in her spare time, first rough cuts look like this...

Parked at Mundaring Weir after some high speed twisting road excitement

View to try and show the width/angles - I'm afraid so far the photos just don't show what you see with your eyes!

From the a*se-end, passenger side view

Action shots :)

Pretty serious face on there like!! Hahahah ;)

Cheers

How do we go about that?? Happy to hear comments/directions etc

Also, Chase_d is organising a WA cruise shortly, around about the 14th Jan 2013 - perhaps any budding photographers etc could come along then?

Cheers
Daz

Trying to get my friend to come along - have to push him to get photos as all the other times he has just taken a single photo!
