I phoned yesterday and today, but the person that I deal with was not there. I will try again tomorrow.

Pinion B should (fingers crossed) go into production in around four weeks time along with the rest of pinion A.

UPDATE This update is for customers waiting on pinions A and B. "Parts are not ready to go yet. The sparked parts are done but we are still working on those that are milled. If all goes to plan they should all go to heat treatment at the end of this week. Sorry for the delay. Based on this they should be complete w/c: 6/5."

Last Thursday I received a phone call from the engineer that is making the upgraded parts. He wanted to ask me couple of questions regarding pinion B. When I asked him when would they be ready his reply was "soon". As you know, these guys haven't been very accurate with their estimates when it comes to timing, but I will phone them again tomorrow. He did go on to say that when disassembling the pinion, you should be very careful as they could be easily damaged.

Cool, thanks Marty.
Can you please get more detail on the how it can be easily damaged? Does he mean snap it in half? Chip part of the pinon teeth? It's only for steering the car, not too important that they make it strong... Not having a dig at you mate, I keep checking here every few days hoping for a positive update and these clowns just keep going with the disappointment! Cheers.

I totally understand where you are coming from. I am sick of all the delays and wish it was over. There is a pin at the top of the pinion that needs to be pressed out, I am told that it is a very tight fit. This is what holds the parts together. You need to make sure you don't mark the outside of the pinion when it is being gripped as it will be reused. The upgraded part slots inside and you replace the pin. That is the way it was explained to me.

Good news and bad news. The good news is that the rest of pinions A and B should be ready tomorrow. The bad news is that some of the staff dealing with the pinions are taking a one week holiday. I will phone them on the 3rd of June to make sure they don't forget us.

I decided not to send emails just yet. There will be two options for shipping to Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. 1. No insurance or tracking (cheapest option) OR 2. limited insurance with tracking (full insurance costs a small fortune). Prices will be confirmed by email. I am waiting on the delivery to Ireland, then I will ship them out when payment for shipping is received.

All parts should be leaving the UK for Ireland on Monday.
mk1rally20v your pinion part will be sent directly from the manufacturer to you tomorrow by courier.
Filthyfil and SFLee has each been sent emails requesting their pinions to be sent to the manufacturer for upgrading.
The rest of the people waiting for their pinion parts in other countries will be sent their parts directly from myself in Ireland. Parts will be sent once payment for shipping has been received. I will try and offer choices on how they will be shipped.

I still have not received the parts. I will send the manufacturer a email to see what excuse they come up with. If I don't get a reply within twelve hours from now, I will give them a call. Prices should be the same as what the other guys in Australia paid, unless the Irish post office prices have increased. €16.00 for partial insurance and tracking.
