Pretty keen to get a fujitsubo legalis r exhaust. Under 1K shipped to my door. I mainly love how quiet it is and the twin tips. Nothing wrong with my exhaust. Or just spend money on another trackday =\

Great car/thread and pics, love the work! The RE002 is def not a tyre designed for the track. It has stiff side walls which is good but the compound just does not have enough grip for track work from my experience in the SW20. I took em out the first time to try it and fell of the track on the first lap lol. AD08-esque tyres much better although you will probably have pesky understeer if you have RE002 at the front and AD08 rears...
I have bad experience with chinese eBay H4 globes, I'm running Osram Nightbreakers which are very good. $20 shipped from UK ;)

Link to the Osram Hightbreakers? For $20 shipped from UK looks good. As i found shipping stuff from uk tends to be expensive...

Heres an update!
Picked up a Defi VSD Basic off my friend. Basically what this is is a HUD that displays your speed or RPM onto the front windscreen. This item is discontinued and so glad i got one. I always had trouble seeing last my steering wheel above 60km/h due to my seating postion, the angle i have my steering wheel and diameter of the steering wheel it doesnt work for me. And its a nice little gadget to have. Wiring should be simple, Power, Ground, Speed, and RPM from the ECU.

As well i picked up a Phoenix's Power Departure II PRO exhaust. I believe its a PRO. Will take me a while to clean it up, polish it and spray the mid/b pipe in high temp silver. But overall there are no dents and only light scratches.

Getting to work on the exhaust. Its going to be a long process to get it to shine.

Getting started. Comparison.

Muffler selfie.

Sanding down this connector with 400 grit then 1200. Cant find my 800. Was covered in crap before.

Thats all im doing for tonight. Give it a rest. Have a crack at it another night. That was roughly 1-2 hours of work there.

Last friday went to Wakie with a few friends. Only changes were the tyres.

So it was Rear: 225/45/17 AD08 and Front: 205/50/16 595RSR

Much better this time round. Plenty of grip, was much happier. Got a 1.15 around the track. That was with no 2nd gear used. After i got the 1.15 i aimed to try downshift to 2nd on turn 1, last turn and the hairpin. But having trouble getting it back into 3rd gear... crunching. So i lost time there waiting for the revs to drop and trying to blip the throttle to get it to engage (around 1.18).

Overall im pretty happy with myself. And need to watch more tracktime, and hope to head out soon and get 1.15 consistently and go for 1.13 :P ?

Took my car to MRC to retune my car. I knew it was running abit on the lean side and wanted a more safe tune. And they fixed that up for me. Also wanted a compression test which came out to 180-185psi on all cylinders so im happy.

Car came out with 198kW on 18psi with a ct20b highflowed. Considering it was a hot day ill just say it is 200kw mr2 :P.

They reconfigured on boost controller to 15psi and 18psi like i requested and hooked me up with a plump back pipe for a BOV since the existing one collapsed in due to the heat on the last trackday. And a return hose for the oem catch can which was previously fitted with a breather causing oil mist in the bay (wasnt too happy with that).

Its running great and very happy with the car. MRC did forget the put back my boot trim while they were accessing the ecu so i had fix that up myself and after the first run one of the hoses blew off and as i was trying to fit it back on the clamps broke. And trying to fix it 2 more broke....

At this stage i bought some replacement hose clamps and its all working fine. But i have ordered t bolt clamps which should be more durable in the future. It was a very annoying experience blowing hose clamps :P

Also from a 86 group buy, purchased and fitted a DR550 with the PowerMagic Pro. This is a 2 channel dashcam (1080p front and 720p rear) Great quailty at night and good security when driving around or parking it on the street. Would highly recommend anyone to get one if they love their car :)

Upgraded my gear clamps to t bolt clamps as the gear clamps were not secure enough for my liking and started playing up when i applied too much tension.

Rear brake pads needed to be replaced after 13,000kms of use (3 trackdays). I wanted to go for DS2500 but discovered that,  "Ferodo DS2500 pads are not made for the MR2, so they have to be cut down from a larger pad, this works out to be $371 for the front pads (DB1352 Shape)". So i just went for Intima SR again :)

My front rotors need to be replaced fairly soon. And i have a pair of RDA dimpled and slotted to go on. Will probably do this before my trackday on the 22nd March held by Circuit Club :)
