Recently last Friday got tint for my car. My old existing tint was too light for my liking and faded for so many years. Went with 20% all round with 5% rear quarters. Absolutely love it. Definitely recommend going to Ground Zero Tint in Blacktown. Got it done for $145 :) Got some parts coming. 2nd hand JDM seat belt units from a half cut in WA. And come interior trim. And waiting for a mates to bulk buy and order targa seals as my driver side is leaking. Unsure if i should get the passenger side as well. Some interior trim. (looking at a new glovebox). To fix my power antenna? Been looking at some universal options. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/110836259825?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_4489wt_1300And http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/170738422945?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_3210wt_1066 Comes with different angled grommets for different cars. Or i was looking at windscreen antenna options. And trying to source out a oil catch can for my car. If i should go aftermarket or get a stock one (if i can find one). And adjustable endlinks for the front for my whiteline swaybar. Forgot to mention been looking at dashcams but nothing seems to suit my criteria or price range. I was happy to pay $250ish. Something with decent functionality and the Blackvue DR400g II ticked all the options. English software and firmware. App for both iPhone and Andriod (i have an iphone and nexus 7). The app is used for streaming live videofeed to the device and also for transferring clips to the device without removing the memory card. And GPS is an feature on this device which i dont really care about. But on the plus side there is 1 year Australian warranty on these which is great. But from the link below there has been reported issues with overheating which can result in lens damage. Something which can be very common in Summer in australia mounted to the windscreen. Not something i want to risk even tho it may be 1 year warranty (still going to be a hassle returning the dam thing). http://dashcamtalk.com/blackvue-dr400g-hd-ii/ There is the upgraded model the DR500 but thats in the $300 range. And abit excessive for me but seems to have no overheating issue. I will be waiting for the price to drop... And in the pipe-lines looking to get 17x9 sa3rs for the rear with some 255s on there. And keeping an eye out for staggered 16 te37s as well. (Cant get enough of rims) Will be going to the Monthly meet this Wednday to say hi.

Yes yes i got axle stands, took the photo before i got my hands dirty :P As i followup to the JDM seat belt unit i got. It works with a AUDM stalk! Below is a picture of the buckle difference. Left is JDM buckle and Right is AUDM. Only difference is the rounded edges and with a JDM unit and UDM stalk it is abit harder to get it to lock. You have to push hard/harder into the buckle. And when releasing the buckle it doesnt eject automatically you have to eject it and guide the stalk out of the buckle. Im still trying to source out jdm stalks... And my section 1 of the handbrake that goes inban to the undercarriage arrived yesterday from mr2-ben. Fast shipping! Looking at getting this glass antenna strip and just mounting inside the boot. Better than my coat hanger el cheapo antenna i have now in my boot lol. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Glass-Windshield-Mount-Car-Aerial-DIN-Antenna-Booster-for-FM-AM-Radio-Stereo-/360499638689?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item53ef73f1a1&_uhb=1#ht_2769wt_1301 And been having serious issues understanding ride height and how it affects preload of a swaybar and what length endlinks i need to order. I know i have some sort of lowered springs (they are full black) they ride quite well no complaints. But since its lowered i believe when attaching the swaybar there is too much preload on the bar as the endlink is too long and makes the bar aim down to the ground. After doing some reading to determine if the swaybar is attached with no preload must be down when the cars wheels are weighted (which makes sense) i have been doing this jacked up. Reading: http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=292981 But even with no load theres is already so much preload from the swaybar from stock endlinks (too long) and it causes the bar to make contact with the control arm? Or is it lower control arm? Which makes me wonder... that when the car is weighted it will be 10x worse... So right now i have taken my endlinks off and my swaybar until i sort this out. Been trying to understand and get pics off as many cars that are lowered and understand how your endlinks and swaybar are setup. I have read somewhere that some people have been using a 2nd hand rear mr2 endlinks on the front as well? as they are shorter. Any input is great!

Rico, can you provide a bit of a review on the Raybrig lights? Are they a huge improvement compared to the stock lights or just a little better? My AW11 could do with an upgarde in the headlight department as I live in a semi-rural area with animals running out onto the road constantly. The current head light output is pretty crap. I'm keen to know if they are worth the $150 or so?

Hey Nick. I think the Raybrigs deliver light alot evenly. Coming from a 92 headlight housing it was abit hazy and duller compared to the raybrigs. Actually i forget what the original headlights were like its been awhile. But i was definately happy with it. I enjoyed the high beam output the best. It was spot on. Shoots the light a little higer than low beam and once again even spread of light across the whole range. Funny enough i use my high beams more than i should im backroads and when cars aint around (Gives me better visibility) For $140 it isnt much to think about. They are also alot lighter being plastic and alot easier to crack from rock chips. Definately a worthy upgrade. And for the antenna went with this booster http://www.ebay.com/itm/370644635699?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 And this window antenna. Going to run it around the top strip on the boot and it should be enough to get the mainstream FM stations i want. http://www.ebay.com/itm/130833910822?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Got my livue last week. Got it installed but need to tuck in the wiring properly. Abit disappointed, quailty isnt that amazing... lacks alot at night and in daytime its just okay. But comparing with price what can you expect. Ill post a video early next week. And got these for $1 shipped from China. Hahaha they are so bling. And side shot of my friends gramlights i picked up for him. Aint that bad, but too bad they are 5x100. Picking up a set of staggered SA3R 17x8 and 9 this weeknd. Hopefull just run the 17x9 on the back with some 245/40/17 :) I find 17" on the front of a mr2 is too big. So it will be 16x7 and 17x9 at the back (maybe 16x8 on the front after i finish with the rubber of the 7". See how we go) Changed engine oil and filter last saturday. I usually use Mobil1 5w-50 but ran out and the Penrite 10w-50 was on sale for $37 at SuperCheapAuto so i picked that up. Pickup up 20L of it LOL! Ive been happy with the ProGear gearbox oil i used by Penrite so im happy to try the engine oil for a change. Oh yeh burple wheels look amazing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ib84nFU1yw

Bought BC coils. Had them on my old st204 celica and was happy with them so for a cheap coilover option i went with them again over HSDs. Default spring rates F5/R8 :) Got them from JustJap, came on Wednesday and started working on them straight away when i got home till late. Broke my extension, so thats lame. And cut myself Only screwed up threading a mount on the firewall for my trd x brace.. Probably the first 4 turns. So i need a tap and die set to fix it. Never done it before, but id rather get someone who more farmilar to do it rather than screw it even more.. Picked up a cheap bargain of 225/45/17 AD08s for future trackday :) And purchased a Evo 7 recaro 7 seat for the passenger side. Waiting for the arrival for my bride type ro rail to get it fitted How its going to sit

Last friday organised a much needed wheel alignment at Road and Race Performance. Something along the lines of 0 toe up front with -2.25 (or 2.5) camber up front. And -1.5 camber rear with slight toe in. Amazing how much a good alignment transforms a car :) Off to MRT skidpan this friday. A full day with food and 3 instructors. Ill have my gopro with me so ill have my footage up of all my fails.
