Did you get a twin core radiator? How much power are you hoping to get once the engine's finished rebuild?

I'm so keen to see this done. I hope you get some decent figures out of the engine, Good Luck with it. - Hayden

That doesn't sound too bad for a ~300,000km engine (actually I have no idea lol) I will keep my fingers crossed for you as well :) Btw did you want my Kevlar timing belt? I've decided to just swap a beams. PM if interested. Cheers

I'll have no need for the timing belt. I think the beams swap is going to be a bit of a stuff around. I think if you're going beams why not put a V6 in there? it will be the same amount of stuffing around with greater results?

Compared to a Red Top BEAMS, the 3vz-fe = less power, more weight, bigger hassle to install, poor weight distribution & less advanced everything!

1mz-fe is still less power and more weight, so no... it isn't going to be faster!

The 1mz-fe does have a bit more torque, but it has to carry 2 cylinders (plus more other stuff too) of extra weight around, so if you probably lose that advantage too. Anyway... I'm not out to sell anyone else on the BEAMS. I've already made my decision and I know what I like! As far as I'm concerned, if you want a great lightweight NA car, a BEAMS Red Top is the goods

Well it seems you guys have conflicting views so the only way to know is for both of them to race in the real world...Which means 1MZ-FE swap! On a serious note though sorry to off topic, hope everything goes well on the rebuild and it's a smooth road to getting your car back on the track :)

Ha! Senol says: "As far as horsepower, anything more than 120rwhp is great." Well a Red Top gives you about 170rwhp... so there!

Hey, I'm just having a joke. Not taking the p**s. Seriously though, I'm enjoying my Red Top a huge amount. But each to their own.
