I just spent some time in the garage inspecting the car. There is nothing that I need to touch before WPC. Is this the first reliable turbo SW20 in the history of the world? (touch wood) hehe

I should make good power with this baby!

My advice would be to ceramic coat it. I'm currently taking out my aftermarket manifold to put in a stock cast iron one I managed to get imported. The tubular steel one I have puts out way too much heat for a track car. Fine on the street and for drag racing but lapping a circuit where its hitting around a thousand degrees is causing wiring looms to melt and a lot of heat soak everywhere. I have heat shielding everywhere but still too hot. The ceramic coaters say around a 30% heat reduction from coating. I'm still going standard manifold as even 30% heat reduction on what these put out is too high. Probably try to run some ducting around there too, to force air in.

Thanks. Yes I'm definitely going to get it coated, and have lots of shields.

Just an idea, make a scoop under the car that forces cold air through the engine bay and out of the lid. That will remove that extra heat. The original plastics under the car are designed to do this with a scoop built into rear plastic that is under turbo area, as the air flows over your roof it gets suck out. This is how I'm doing it on my car. It works well.

I had the same experience with my car. Its why I moved to the V6.

I did this to mine. Aside from some great performance improvements, it made a huge difference with the air flow into the engine bay.
You should look at the high temp shielding for the wiring harness that Brendan is using on his car. Would also remove any rubber hose and replace with aluminium where possible.
If all else fails, put a V6 in it!

Enjoyed the video Glenn. Makes me want to have a go at Bathurst myself.

With the doors you have fitted who made them, how light are they and are they true all carbon or just fibreglass with a carbon fibre looks layer?

My oem gutted door with no glass is 12Kg. These are 5Kg. They are carbon fibre outer with fibre glass inner. I also have Polycarbonate windows, which helps with weight too. There was a bit of mucking around to fit them though the quality of the doors is very good.

They look great Glenn. Do you use window regulators and have window functions on these doors and polycarbonate windows?

Passenger side is fixed closed. I need to figure out a lightweight way to open and close the drivers side. The regulator will disappear when I put the drivers door on.

Looks great Glenn. Great driving at MWPC. Was great to finally turn some laps together even though I choked when you arrived for our 'roll racing' run.

I so wish I didn't come of the track at turn 10, it would have been a blast having that race. There will be more days in 2018!
I checked NAtsoft. Almost a 6! Very cool.
