That exhaust looks hopeful. I can't help thinking it won't quieten things by much. :-)

I have significant news to report. I now have all the parts required to do my fabled turbo upgrade.
MR2WPC in November will be the last time that I will run the CT26. #sadday
Let me know if any of you are interested in buying the CT26, exhaust manifold, pipes and dump pipe.
It can give you 220KW at the wheels on 98RON. It is high flowed and has had significant wastegate mods to solve the dreaded boost creep issue that many people have reported with these turbos. Yes - the boost creep issue has been fixed. Many say it is not possible with these turbos, though they are wrong.

I will be putting it all together over the end of year break.

The new setup is this -
  • Haltech E11V2 ECU
  • Aim MXL dash
  • Honeywell Garrett 3071R GTX 0.83AR turbo v-band
  • Doc Race top mount v-band exhaust manifold
  • Tial MVR wastegate
I don't care what the dyno sheet will say. The proof will be in the lap times.

Having extensions on the plumbing (water/oil) will help a lot with workshop time. I have added a photo of what was done to my 3SGTE. Also have a stainless steel drain pipe as I had done. The braided line perished. This was the oil problem with the car at MTC in 2013.

Can I get this stuff off the shelf? If so, from where? I've had a look around, though all of the kits are flexible lines and would be closer to the heat than what I would like. As you know, things get much hotter on a race car than they do on a street car.

It was all custom made. The return line is two piece with a rubber joiner near the sump. The other three have a weld in bung you can buy from Earls fittings which has been welded to a stainless steel or mild steel tube with another weld on fitting at the other end. The guy I dealt with is on Victoria Street, Wetherill Park. He is in the same complex as PAC Performance, opposite their workshop. He is the ex 'Corsa' fabricator. Unfortunately I do not have his number anymore. Just a thought, I have a TIG welder at the workshop so I can help out with welding a few tubes together. We can throw the car on the hoist to make life a lot easier in fitting it all up.

Turbosmart make 70mm turbo oil drain extensions, boostlab in the usa make one piece units.

For water lines, you can run AN male female extensions, you can buy m12x1.5 male female extensions for water lines. You can buy carby feed fittings down, turn the imperial thread down and tap to m12x1.5 and there are extended m12x1.t to an6 fittings that can be bought, i just cant think who supplies them.

Otherwise your up for the custom option.

Make sure you brace the underside of that new unit so it doesn't crack prematurely.
