I'm not going to have any vents. It will just stay as two holes.
I didn't want to have them too far forward because I will be putting an air interrupter on the leading edge of the holes, and if I put the holes too far forward, they would be too low, because there is another indented part of the bonnet further forward and there wouldn't be enough air hitting the interrupters.
It won't be perfect, though my main aim is to stop air from going underneath the car and also into the front wheel arches, as this was causing lift and instability at high speeds ->180KPH. Having the splitter and the bonnet vent should give me some decent down force which should make it a lot more stable and also help to reduce (or hopefully remove) my brake lockup issues.
That's the plan anyway.....

Thanks,
Interesting to see how that works for you. In looking at other posts in between my comments I can seen the bonnet had the forward vents and you have added the trailing holes. I know Jaguar got enough a reduction in lift with the XKR in the 1990s with bonnet vents to release engine heat that it needed a rear spoiler change. So they can be significant effects.

Here are some more photos from last weekend. There are more to come this weekend.
The splitter should be complete this weekend too.

These are the two undertrays to stop air from going under the car. They force the air that comes through the front of the nose to go through the radiator and then into the frunk. Where they join is the captive nuts under the radiator support.

This is the left hand plate that stops the incoming air from going into the wheel well. It is also a support for the splitter, as it connects to the chassis rail.

This is the right hand plate that stops the incoming air from going into the wheel well. It is also a support for the splitter, as it connects to the chassis rail.

This is the start of gluing the headlight covers onto the bonnet with polyurethane. I hope that it is strong enough!

Left hand guard pump to suck air out of the wheel well to increase down force and also enable me to run 225 tyres.

Here is the 0.5mm aluminium air deflector to help entice the air to go out of the bonnet.

Why would I want my car to go slower?

I'm still not finished though I'm getting closer!
The splitter is VERY strong. I can stand on it and it doesn't move a millimetre.
Sticking the headlight covers onto the bonnet is also a success.
