hehe eBay king me. Hey he still has a CF engine cover though I reckon it would vent worse than a stock one. Looks OK though.

OK here's the latest update. I dynoed it again tonight and the wastegate actuator I replaced works fine......BUT...... because I have a custom twin dump pipe, the wastegate doesn't flow well enough to regulate the boost. As such I get a runaway boost condition even though the wastegate is open. The solution is to get another dump pipe made up though this time there won't be a separate pipe for the wastegate outlet. My tuner says he's never seen any power gains from having a twin dump pipe anyway, so I won't see a loss in power. Attached is a graph showing the boost creep. I'm still planning on going to open practice at EC on the 20th so I'd better get cracking at getting my exhaust guy to make a new dump.

Have any of you guys tested at Winton? I'd be interested to know what kind of times you do around there.
Winton National Circuit (3.0Km) SPORTS SEDANS: Under 2 Litre Ken Hastings Snr Toyota MR2 March, 2003 1m31.4735s Not me btw lol
That was a 2litre cosworth motor. RobYob has done some track days down at winton, but i don't know if he has done any natsoft timed events. 1m 31s is very quick, you need to know the track to do a time like that. I have seen a few mr2's there before, usually in the very high 1.30's or in the 1.40's
'88 MR2 4AGTE W/ EFR6258 224.6KW @ 20PSI more to come......

Oh yeh??? Do you know where I can get more info on this car?? Yes 1m 31s is very quick I don't see any skylines on that list lol. Cosworth motor huh? Imagine the power-weight ratio on that engine...gonna look into this... Sorry that was off topic congrats on buying the CF boot I suspect the car will snap less with that weight of it's back and have more balance. Will you be posting up vids again? I would flim it but I'm in VIC lol

True - mine is a bit taily though it's certainly drivable when a bit sideways. i.e. you can steer out of it.

LOL - I doubt I'll feel it. I bought it for the bling. If my car is going to be slow, it may as well look good. Yeah I may throw the camera in it again. It's been a while since I've got some good footage

Update - the new dump pipe made no difference. The only remaining thing that could be causing the boost creep is the wastegate itself. I'll take the turbo off this weekend and send it off to get ported. The original company that high flowed the turbo should have done it. Grrrrr

What turbo have you got? If it is ct20b you need different turbo or somehow get an external gate - you can't port the stock one large enough to stop creep. EC main straight for instance - you are just producing too much exhaust gas at 200kmh+. And the faster you go the worse it gets.

CT26. I've been told its a common problem and shaping the leading edge of the wastegate hole as well as porting it slightly will fix it. Yes I understand that an external wastegate will also fix it though I'm trying to minimise how much money I spend on the car seeing how I have just bought a load of CF panels for it
