More progress. The interior is mostly finished. Seat replaced with a Sparco one. Turbo now has a blanket and the dump pipe is ceramic coated. Should I wrap it as well?
If I'm not lazy tomorrow, I'll put the head back on and get it running.
I've now taken 40Kg out since the last MTC

Looking good.
40kg? Impressive. Have you touched the wiring yet?
Its a good idea to wrap the dump pipe. Make sure you soak it, then wrap it tight, then clamp it. Use the titanium wrap as it does not turn to glass like the fibreglass wrap.
You and Pat will have very similar weights (by my estimate).
Are you running the A050 or Hoosiers?

I have some ideas to take some more weight out. I'll post details after I have done it. I have taken some wiring out though nothing significant. Ok I'll wrap the exhaust. I have to re do the rest of the exhaust anyway as it is falling apart. I have titanium wrap on the GT4 and yes it is much better. I'll be running the same Hoosiers as this year. Thanks for the advice

I'm also hoping for some more power with the inlet valves operating correctly this time. Fingers crossed!

I'm not sure. The weigh in at mtc will tell us. It won't be as light as Steve's car.

It's alive! Idles well too. I just turned the key, it started then idled happily without me needing to touch the throttle. Win 🏆

I recently found an old video of one of my first drives in the MR2.
This was a good lesson in car control
I hope you enjoy it.

How much was your new intercooler pump?

I am still using the ST205 water pump and it is very noisy.  I should think about changing it.
