Nice work Glen. Looks like a great day out with plenty of traffic. Very pleased to see the car is running reliable now.

I was searching for times from a trackday I attended in the Celica. It was held by Powerplay Imports. They held one in 2007 and 2008. I looked at the times for 2008 and found your name and your car attended the event! I was not driving my car but did have a drive of a friends car as well as doing all the video work which can be found on youtube. What I remember very clearly was seeing your car at the trackday. I walked over to the fence with your car being one of the first cars flying past and its was unforgettable. This wild red 'car' with a wing and carrying great speed into turn one. It really stood out from all the Nissans and the likes. After that, it cruised into pit lane and then remember seeing it loaded onto a trailer. My thoughts were 'that is a real circuit car. I just wanted one'. I think that's what inspired me to 'take the black' and buy my MR2 and build the car I have today. Thanks mate, you were helping me before we ever meet. http://racing.natsoft.com.au/635839664/object_27555536.92F/View?8That was a top ten finish you managed. The top two cars spend 60k to get to that level. The GTR was 400awkw, the R31 was a 300kw drift weapon with a top driver behind the wheel, the 350z was a big dollar twin turbo V6 with a top line driver in it but no idea on the EVO's.

Yeah that was me. I was there with my mate Bill (black R34). That was one of the rare times that the car ran well. I had slicks on the rear that day. Unbelievable grip compared to what I was used to. I remember that 350Z clearly. I would catch him through the corners and then he'd pull away down the straight. I looked at all my gauges to see if there was something wrong. I expected to blast past him because I knew 350zs aren't fast. It's true - there were a lot of fast cars there that day. There have been a lot of issues with the car since then. That day was 3 engines ago! I have recently set my reliability record - 4 full track days with no serious issues, and still going strong.

How did you manage to only run 5psi? I thought that the MR2 wastegate actuator was 10psi minimum or thereabouts

MTB. Been fighting joining Strava for a long time (didn't want to get sucked into it like happens) but recently started punting against myself. No KOMs yet though It really does make you appreciate what people (psychos/machines) can do when they're elite athletes.

My performance improved a lot after using Strava. There are a lot of crazy weapon athletes out there. I sometimes think I'm pretty good then quickly realise how mediocre I really am after seeing what some others can do, and how much training they do. I think I still have a couple of proper KOMs. I'm most proud of this one - a lap around the Olympic stadium! http://app.strava.com/segments/4244323No wind assistance is possible due to it being a circle. It also looks cool to be the fastest around an Olympic stadium.
