Hmm I wonder actually how much boost it could run with the stock 10. Something to 1 compression ratios, that would be pretty insane, is the Trd supercharged 2gr using same intervals or totally different?

there are guys who've run the 2gr up to 20psi(turbo'd) before it blew tho i think they just wound up the boost till then they didnt really do much to see where it would run safe.
So far i think TRD blower from the Aurion is the go. Monkey Wrench Racing have put one on their 2gr'd elise without issue. Its running 3.5psi and making 340rwhp. Im pretty sure thats under driven but since the standard TRD aurion is running something like 4-6 psi.
O and from all reports there are no differences between the TRD and standard Aurion internals or compression ratio.

I have to ask....
I'm currently collecting parts for a 2GR conversion as well, but in the UK / US write ups I've read, they all seem to be using the Turbo gearbox but there was an issue regarding using it in that Road and Track write up. What was the issue? I ask as I have the Turbo gearbox in my garage to put in.

The issue was that it was a 92 lsd gearbox. I MUST be a 93+ gearbox. On mine we used a manual v6 camry box(its still a e153) because it has longer gear ratios.

Ahh, that's cool, mine will be fine then. You had me worried for a while there.
If you know, what are the ratios in the Turbo box like standard with the 2GR? Would any need changing at all? I haven't really heard of anyone doing it so wouldn't expect so, but any recomendations on that before it all bolts in?

Most guys in the US/UK have changed their final drive ratios as they've all found 1st and 2nd run out too quick. Mine is supposed to be a fair bit longer but i still find id like a bit more. I'll be shortly raising my rev limiter to something like 7200rpm.

OK, cool. I'll have to keep that in mind. What sort of a price goes along with that? What sort of final drive would you recomend?

I still dont get why it has to be a 93+ gearbox. I've had both a 93+ and 91/92 box and the casings looked identical. What am I missing?
