Don't do it yet! Save up and do everything properly when your off your P's.

Id mod this motor but i dont think id do a transplant whilst on P's for insurance purposes.

SC 3,500
INJECTORS SECONDS 500
ECU up to you
Fuel pump 200
Oil cooler 500
piping and bracket up to you

At least 7000 .
Unless you go high psi stock gear is ok.

More power on a N/A is either FI , ITB and a computer.

Anything else will get you bugger all.

I have sourced out some HKS Cams

2202-RT063
Intake - 264deg - 9.0mm Lift - 110deg timing

2202-RT064
Exhaust - 264deg - 8.95mm Lift - 103deg timing

I am wondering if there would any issues with the amount of lift on a stock GEN 2 head?

I am hopping to even consider stepping up to 10mm lift but shim over buckets may cause some issues.

nah. not aggressive enough. more lift! More lift!

but..

they would be better than whats in the car at the moment, so you may as well go for them if they are going to work with the stock ecu and stock gen2 setup..

I have a super itc ignition computer and a SAFC on the plans to piggy back onto the stock ecu which should do just fine.

I'm tempted to go for more duration, HKS sell a 272 degree cam as well with similar lift duration.

I'm somewhat distrusting on aftermarket ecus due to their cost and the difficulty in finding someone decent to tune (even though its inevitable with a build like this)

those cam's will be fine for the gen3 shim over setup.

there's a few companies which sell cams and state whetehr they suit gen2/gen3.

gen2 cam's are generally kept under 10mm lift. you could always go bigger lift and fit shimless buckets.
