THAT WAS THE FIRST THING WE ASKED.

YOU EVEN SHOWED US A PRINT OUT OF THE WHEEL ALIGNMENT AND YOU SAID HE COULDN'T GET IT TO DO NEGATIVE CAMBER.

That wheel alignment was BEFORE I put the coilovers on. I hadn't got one since because I was going to source a lower-control arm first.

I don't think they do wheel alignments. They recommended some other place.

This is a bit like a soap opera / unfunny sitcom.

It even rivals jupiters 'legend of the mystery blonde 2 driver'

so have you checked the eccentric bolts you have for the rear camber? have you tried adjusting them?

because if it was a camber issue that was solved with a new strut, you would have fixed it when you bolted the hub to the new strut. you would have to have eccentric bolts and you would have to deliberately camber out the hub when you bolted it to the strut.

I make a dick of myself no matter what I do [:P] It just comes naturally to me.

And I bought coilovers straight after I found out about the leaking strut. Just didn't find the time to get them on until a while after [:P]
But yeah, I didn't start panicking until Serpico told me the chassis was most likely bent. ba$1ard lol.

honestly.. during this whole process, have you EVER actually taken the wheel off and had a look.

because if it was a camber issue that was solved with a new strut, you would have fixed it when you bolted the hub to the new strut. you would have to have eccentric bolts and you would have to deliberately camber out the hub when you bolted it to the strut.

Yeah, I took the wheels off to spray the calipers [:P] And to stare blankly at the suspension and wonder wtf everything was etc.
As for the rest of your post, nooo idea what you're on about lol

how ever did you decide to describe yourself as a car enthusiast?
i think you should stick to music, and drive something like a new honda jazz (get it? jazz...musician.. see what i did there?)

ok, ill be helpful...

(stolen from somewhere else because im a bit over explaining poo poo to you)

Eccentric bolt
A bolt with centers of head and body on different axis so that one is off-center in relation to the other.

you would place an eccentric bolt in the following location.

The verdict

Well after getting a false diagnosis from 3 different mechanics, I finally got my car checked out by Track Right (for free too! )

The chassis is not bent. So a big f*ck you to a certain forum member for putting that in my head [:p] and a second f*ck you to my mechanic mate who 'confirmed' it.

It was a bent strut, which is basically the only thing that Serpico didn't replace.
When I upgraded to coilovers it fixed the problem. So all I need now is a wheel alignment and I'm all good!!

They also fixed my front sway bar when I was there. The end bit had come loose and was hanging off, nearly touching the road.

I also checked out that black MR2. If anyone is thinking about buying it, PM me first.

Calm down mate, i said its possibley a bent chassis.

Secondly, i actually replaced the rear struts after the hit, including the hub, control arms and pretty much darn everything.

I put crash bolts in to get it into line as much as we could however it STILL had positive camber on the rear after all of the above.

I doubt a wheel alignment corrected this issue
