My mate said he charged $9000 to fix another car with a bent chassis. But if you can do it for a grand, be my guest. I'd gladly pay you that much for your help. Keep in mind I have another $4000 worth of problems to fix at least

Oh man I didn't get to comment on the,
"I'd race it, it doesn't corner very well but otherwise it handles OK!" (or similar wording...)
I do really hate to join the flame game but you are not the wisest of young silly people I have met.

Wheels wouldn't be for sale. I would take my $9k worth of parts and transfer them into the new MR2. I would then part-out doors, bonnet, targas, etc...

Dibs on the front left hand head light cover. Hey maybe it's just your wheels that are making the car drive like a crab. Yeah, get rid of them.

I read that crap about 9g. Your car wont have to be stripped down. I doubt that it is very bad at all
I know exactly how you feel jezza you remind me of when I was younger. Listen to the others that are older and have been through what you going through.
Even if the other car cheeks out ok dosent mean that they might have missed something or in 6 months something bad happens to it. I would just cancel going to look at it for now
Ive mentioned before that you need to take your car to someone that knows what they are doing. You've even said mechanics cant work out whats wrong. Take it to Track right and IDB (or Trav) even if it is only to find out exactly whats wrong. Then decide what to do.
Everyone prefers to spend money on modifications rather than repair but then you know for sure that your car is right.

Jupes stacked his car yonks ago. I'm assuming it wasn't insured but he loves his car so he forked out a lot of money and had it fixed.

Whatever stock red was on 1990 MR2s. Almost a crimson red I guess. It's in great condition except for a crack in the lip (GEN3), but I already promised that to another member. Would give preference to someone that wanted the whole bar/lip together though. And Jupes spent like $10k+ repairing a 90-92 N/A after a 'tree hit him' [:P] When he should have bought another car then parted his wreck out. See the resemblance in stories? I'm not sure whether I should spend more than what the car is worth to fix it when I could buy another one.

I brought that lip home from Sydney on new years eve years ago:)
Your chassis isn't bent. For under 1k i can fix this issue without much drama. Your car is a fine base, there are no unmolested cars left at this age IMHO.
Even standard cars get ba$1ardised by mechanics/owners who have no idea.
Mechanics cant fix it? give it to someone who can as Dasic1 has mentioned maybe 3 times in response to your threads now haha

All cars are going to have problems especially 20 odd year old sports cars. I would suggest you spend the money fixing the problems with this one. If you do enough research you can find an affordable way of fixing all your problems. And im sure if you ask nicely several people could come and help you out with various problems on your car.
Ive spent almost 50% of what i payed for my mr2 in fixing up and upgrades ie Quaife. I think you will end up spending more money if you sell this one...

the most important thing jeremy is that you know what is wrong with this car now. You basically know almost everything (minus surprises which ALWAYS come up in cars) that is wrong with the car, so you can fix it. Stop being so hell-bent on thinking that the chassis is bent, you DONT know that.
Seriously get the car checked out at a proper place, wait what ever time you have to wait for the booking, and get it done. You will end up with a much better car at the end of the day than buying another car to find another 100 issues that need fixing (AND YOU WILL FIND ISSUES, these are 20 year old cars, they WILL have issues that the owner wont tell you about/wont know about).
