well try the strut brace test.
the stock x brace is flexy as you will find out when you remove it.

I don't remember exactly. It was a few months back. I just didn't bother chasing it up.

i would measure the chassis and see if there is a problem as suggested. i would be very surprised if a it on the wheel would afect the chassis in any way. it may bend the strut, suspension arms, hub, crossmember, but not the actual chassis.

Have you taken it to an experienced suspension place for an assesment so you can make an informed decision once you know what the problem is exactly? Find one that deals in non cosmetic damage for insurance companies if you can. Perth has at least one, so i would be surprised if the bigger cities dont have them.

cheers

Well I'm getting a lot of interest in my car already so hopefully it sells soon

These 2 cars are next on the cards. Of course this time I will get them thoroughly checked out!

I suppose I should buy the one with the forged rebuild, coz I know I'm going to want more power. GEN2 is way too slow for my liking.

make sure u see receipts of that rebuild with forged part receipts too. In the end its still no guarantee that it actually has what it says. Ask why he had it built with forged internals but didnt do anything else. Turbosmart wastegate makes no sense if its got the CT26, maybe it was rebuilt with the gate welded shut and put a turbosmart gate on? Lots of questions you need to ask. Plus its in tomo, be careful of dodgey arabs/masos and poo poo like that. Asl what microtech it is and where he got it tuned, how much power it made and if its ok to DYNO it before you buy it. Make sure the car wont explode when its going hard haha.

Haha yeah man. I'm going to be very careful this time! I have been talking to the guy who owns the other one (targa) and he seems very nice/genuine. Will probably look at that one first, even though it's not forged.

the one with buddy club's sounds nicer.

the one with the turbosmart WG's i think may have gotten confused with his GFB BOV but i may be wrong. or it's old photo's.

Hey Trav, are you friends with him or something? Anything you could tell me about that car?

If not, do you think you could come with me to check out either cars? Or anyone else in Melbourne that I've met?

Would really appreciate it and happy to pay for your time etc.

I agree with Steve above, take it to IDB for a pre purchase check. I haven't caught up with Milad in years.

I'll do that if the initial check-out goes well. Going to see the car on Tuesday night. Feel free to tag alone
