Get the engine number re-stamped in a visible location..will satisfy 99% of people who have no idea of where it is in the first place.

I had this same problem when i got my roady. I tried to explain where it was, but the issue was more that when the block was painted, the number was filled with paint so he had to scrap some off. Tried to charge me extra for his 15minutes of work too lol. Evil man

Moving on when i first imported my MR2 the guy at Vicroads had no idea where it was so just said yep anyway im sure it's correct and signed it off. hahaha
