Were you talking to me or jdmr288?
I have an HTC Desire HD (not a Galaxy), which had Froyo when I got it, but I now have Gingerbread (via an official HTC release).

There is an extensive build thread for my car here: http://www.mr2australia.com/mr2play/tm.aspx?m=18316

I can see the appeal, but crapple will never get any of my money.
As far connecting to a deck in a car goes, bluetooth is how it usually happens for me.
The trouble with the iphones/ipods is that you have to have a similar age of deck to crapple device, otherwise some things won't work reliably, if at all!

most apple ipod issues have to do with the change in power conversion of newer ipods/iphones and old. any deck with a port for a CD changer for about 100 US can be equipped with an adaptor that plugs into said port and charges and plays. I have this one

and its flawless on the OEM spyder head unit.  for newer ipods you can get a simple converter that steps down current so new generation will play.

I haven't upgraded to Froyo yet. Not sure if it's simple enough for me to do :D Where did u get the files from and any instructions on how to do it? The Telstra model is full of so much crap it isn't funny. If I can get rid of it I'm sure the phone will be much faster.
