hahahahaha all good.

got some more to post. there is a 2.5 litre stroked 503E in Europe and the fastest 3SGTE/503E powered "car" in the world was a pioneer in the 90's in European drag racing (Finland). He set many records and couldnt be beaten in his class by anybody (alcohol fueled rail dragsters) unfortunately he got peeved at the governing bodies so now he drives a top fuel car (i wouldn't care about the 3SGTE any more either!)

This particular guy holds the record for the fastest top fuel licensing pass also.

ET-6.749 @ 323,73 km/h 201.2 mph.

This is the other 503E drag car.

prostock chassis, vp racing fuel blah blah, but........

it has a custom made billet 2.5 litre block! wth....

trying to track this down, though i doubt it has any water jackets.

More stuff on the IMSA car.

ToyotaEagleMkIII-MF7

The MkIII’s engine was an evolution of the HF 89 power plant and mated to a March-derived 5-speed transmission via the cast magnesium bellhousing. As common practice, the oil reservoir was integral to the bellhousing. Steel A-frames (missing in the photo) ran from the monocoque rear bulkhead and either side of the engine to the shear plate which then attached to the bellhousing.

The Toyota 503E 2.1 liter single turbo engine wasn't installed fully stressed, instead relying on a structural cam cover and oil pan to increase the beam strength

Black and white ftw

just a general view. if you look at cylinder heads on race engines (including homolagation models) you will see similar aspects.

they all seem to run external water cooling per cylinder, high port angles and 4 bolt exhaust ports.
