WRC/TTE/IMSA/LEMAN/JGTC 3SGTE/503E engines,UPDATE
everyone has seen some of the stuff made for WRC over the years, be it Toyota or not. going to use this thread to post some stuff up. first post is the alternator bracket redesign for the ST205 engines they used. they used dry carbon to make the bracket, awesome stuff indeed!

Why they didn't make something similar out of a different material for the production SW20 is beyond me.

Because alloy used to be way more expensive than cast iron.

Next up is the sump from a rally 3S engine, they don't seem to use a dry sump like the JGTC engines. Is this something to do with regulations? i don't know. It has a bolt in baffle and gauze too.

Some other interesting things to note is the compression ratio differences of the rally engines versus the "503E"
8.2.1
vs
7.0.1
interesting stuff since they both run restrictors.
the Lemans setup 503E's made 680hp on what they call a CT26R which i will find and post soon.
also the 503E is 2140cc instead of 1998cc in most cases

Nobody seems to know much about this but it's a 503E engine fitted to a SW20. To me it looks like they just fitted it inside the shell. If anyone knows if it actually is running around with this engine thatd be awesome.
