So much time, yet so little... Anyway, more progress thanks to a busy Sunday.

CAD'd the engine side mount, then cut it out of steel.

Quick test fit.

My multi-utility table

Fitted and welded the mount in place

Then added a bit more weld to the gearbox side

Now it holds itself up!

Next up is to start reinforcing the chassis points where the torque mounts will go.

Spent a day giving the SlushDub some love, hopefully it will get it ready enough for a shake down at Queensland Raceway on the 22nd.

Did some comparison measurements between the stock intercooler and the CoolerPro unit.

Unfortunately I lack a couple of 2.5" to 2" silicon hoses so I couldn't mount the new cooler in the car. I also need to get some tabs welded to the intercooler to utilise the stock mounting points, but those will have to wait till after the 22nd. So I grabbed a spare thermo fan and installed it onto the stock intercooler and refitted it.

Spent the afternoon putting a lot of interior back in and tidying the car back up in general. Currently has a mix of blue and black trim, but I'm hoping to replace it all with black soon enough.

Decided to put in another half hours works and have a crack on putting together one of my 3 in 1 taper mergers for the V6 exhaust. The 3" to 2" tapers arrived Tuesday so it was just a case of measure them up and work out what to cut off each.

After cutting the required amount off each part, I stuck them together in the lathe to align them for welding.

Then added a couple of tack welds.

Small ~0.5mm ridge on the inside that will get ground flat once the welds are done.

Showing the seperate parts and then the final combination.

The mergers are 150mm long, which matches the exhaust calculations I've been doing. Just need to take the final measurements off the part to put into CAD software so I can 3D print a couple for the exhaust lego.

Productive day on the SlushDub.

During the week I had some silicon pipes turn up for the bigger intercooler.

Quickly improvised a bit of silicon tube and some exhaust tubing to join up the J pipe to the intake.

Also fabricated up a new battery clamp.

Then had to extend the positive battery lead because the terminal, so managed to bodge this up.

Yay, it all fits!

And to finish this off, I'll leave the little cool japanese guard lights that came with the car

Before my change to the M62 supercharger, I was researching the possibility of a smaller pulley setup for the SC14. Today, a 110mm replacement clutch and pulley I had ordered has arrived.

This would work with a stock sized crank pulley, would allow the water pump to run at near stock speeds, would use the stock tensioner and still produce boost equivalent to running a 165mm crank pulley.

I was going to machine off the multi-rib pulley and fit a HTD8M tooth pulley for a gilmer drive setup to avoid any potential belt slip from having less belt area on the smaller pulley. I might still fit this up to my spare SC12 and give it a go before the M62 go onto the car.

Hate to bring up a relic mate, but what supercharger exactly is that clutch meant for?

It's actually from an AC unit. I just need to modify the centre of it and machine up a hub to mount it to the supercharger.

You skipped the part where the Slushdub wanted to be more like its Autodub cousin and BHG'ed.

I haven't skipped it, I just haven't had the time to get around to compiling an event report.
Been too busy traveling to Sydney for work and looking for a house to live in down there :P

But yes, in short, the suspected head gasket became a blown head gasket. Now I can fix it without worrying that the head gasket might be a problem :D.

While I was ordering parts to replace the headgasket, I also bought this thing....

One step closer to fixing the SlushDub

Now just need to get the car into the same state as me and try to get it fixed!
Hoping to get her running for MTC2015 and give it a shake down with the twinscrew!

I just re-read this whole thread from the start. I needed to refresh my memory on the progress of your TrackDub and SlushDub.
Are you still intending to take the TrackDub to MTC 2015, with the SlushDub as a backup only?

There is an extensive build thread for my car here: http://www.mr2australia.com/mr2play/tm.aspx?m=18316

It really depends if I get a chance to make a trip home to QLD before XMAS, and then still have enough time to finish the car off, which might be a big ask. I'll make my mind up as I get closer to the event.
