It does say 'front' maybe there's a 'rear' too.

+1 (1)
A free KKR430 and a 42mm external waste gate were offered to me recently from some awesome MR2 owners who are keen to see me do something stupid which will potentially end up in some cracked pistons and broken rods, so that's what's going on.

The plan is to mount the turbo over the gearbox with the exhaust and screamer pipe going vertical out the engine cover like a drift missile...

Only one turbo? not nearly crazy enough.

Will be awesome if you get this running though.

Quick fitment looksy.

They follow the contour fairly well, but it's obvious they were designed on an AW11 with no side skirts or rear mudflaps.

Have to decide if I want to chop the flare to clear the side skirt or chop the side skirt to clear the flare.

Fronts are a little too long tip to tip, but with a little flexing, they come in nicely and still match the guard contour. I don't think I'll need any body filler or such to get this to fit nice and tidy.

If a new mould is taken off them once fitted to the car, they would be a perfect bolt on's.

Well, these have to go sit in the garage till August while I focus on my other hobby

Haven't posted much in here lately as I've been busy designing, building and testing this:

Then travelling to Sydney to compete for two days, battling through 11 fights and winning the competition, which had one of these as 1st prize.

An UP Mini 3D printer worth $1199. Which took over my life for a few weeks as I printed cool 3D things!

On the other side of things, I'm now an owner of a block of land and after a delightful talk with the bank last week, we've been given a verbal "Yes, we can loan you the money to build your dream shed and yes, the repayments are sensible...." So while I won't be doing much with my AW11's for the rest of the year, once the dream shed is built for next year, I'm hoping to kick all of these projects into hyper drive!

In the mean time, I've been collecting parts... Cause you know, you can never have too many parts...

Laminova W2A intercooler tubes arrived for the SlushDub in preparation for the M62 supercharger

Thermostat Oil cooler adaptor for TrackDub and SkidDub, which I have digital pressure senders installed in.

I also have a new ignition coil system to setup for the TrackDub since I've had an unexpected series of 1ZZFE Coil on Plug failures, so will probably do a decent post up for that when I installed it.

Always pushing the envelope! How about making some 3D hubs??
You should just run a big IC with water injection.
Wonder how 'slush' will go drifting? Could be entertaining.

The SlushDub will eventually become my daily (when it's restored), so I'm not keen on doing something like water injection where it's performance will dramatically drop half way to Brisbane, if I forget to top up the tank. The laminova units are super small but are rated to support 150HP per core, so with three of them crammed in a "shortest path possible" intake, they will be overkill for the car. My planned setup will be like this.

From throttle body to valve should be less then 500mm in length...

Drifting in the Slushdub, I dunno how it will go with the auto, it might be okay in the tighter, low speed corners when it can just power over to slide, but bigger sweeping corners......  Probably do better at the drags if I build a MegaShift transmission controller for it and do some trickery to make it more suitable for burnouts and launches. SkidDub is the one I really want to have a play around drifting in, 1MZFTE with 250-300HP should drift very easily! Powercruise maybe?!
