What about just slotting the holes on the strut where it bolts to the hub? Free, easy and should give you a few degrees more camber.

I considered slotting the holes, cause it's easy to do (And it fits my backyard theme!) and would work, but I really want to be able to make easy, fast changes to my camber settings. For example, I set the camber for 1 deg front, 0 deg rear and I drive 1250km to Wakefield Park, upon arriving at the track, I pull out an allen key and a digital camber gauge** and change the camber to 3 deg front and 2 deg rear in about 5mins. To do this at the hub, requires jacking the car up, removing a wheel, adjusting the camber, wheel back on, jack down, check camber, rinse repeat until setting reached.

Did you see Ken and i setting the camber at Wakefield on the Pearl?
you can have the car with the wheels off and the control arms set at ride height on stands and using the angle guage set the camber in 10 minutes or so.
The Pearl is slotted at the coilover where it meets the hub.

Changing the camber will change the toe which I believe will wear your tires out much faster than negative camber will.

Had a nice little present arrive today, my wireless adaptor for the MegaSquirt DIYPNP. This now means I can kick my old sheetbox windows laptop to the kerb and use my awesome MacBookPro instead! The other bonus is when I get the chance to pick a Nexus7 tablet, I'll be able to run ShadowDash, which is a groovey digital dash setup which works with the MegaSquirt. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7JOLBSakIk

ASimovy, obviously that is changed afterwards with toe plates (wheels on but still the car is in the air so you can adjust) Sorry no pics as we were working.

Next project! Camber tops. With the need for a bit more camber for on the track and the great urge to throw my OBX camber bolts into the sun, it's time for camber tops. Sure, I could go out and spend $300-500 for off the shelf ones, but it's more fun to build some! The initial rough design I cooked up in 2010 And today the first parts arrived, 3/4" spherical bearings These bearings are <$50 per set shipped from my supplier, so even if they only last 12 months, it's cheap enough to rebuild them yearly. The AW11 struts use a ~15mm bearing normally in the strut top, but I've gone for these beefier 3/4" ones since they should handle more abuse.

Over the moon! My C60 gearbox arrived from Paul Woods! And a juicy factory helical LSD to fit! This totally makes up for the horrible week I had last week.
