B24 It may be a good idea to drain the catch can instead of returning to the sump. The oil can end up being pretty 'funky' at times!
Yes the stuff that collects in the catch can is often quite funky, but that's because of condensation which would form when changing from cold to hot and back again. I still have a manually activated drain valve which allows me to easily drain the funky stuff into a container on a regular basis. The other drain (to the sump) is from the side of the catch can about an inch above the base of the can, and in normal driving the level will never get that high. At the track is where the drain to the sump will come into play, but at the track the engine will always be hot so there shouldn't be much condensation, therefore the stuff going back to the sump should be in the same condition as when it came out of the engine. Hopefully that turns out to be fairly accurate in practice haha. B24 Brakes look great. Some owners change the master cylinder too. Did you do this?
EDIT: I confirmed that I still have the original 7/8 inch bore brake master cylinder, so I'll be changing to a larger one very soon. B24 That's great news about Fast Fours. Congratulations on that win.
Thanks! B24 If I can make it, I will see you on Monday.
Hopefully I'll see you there. Eddie, Alex and Steve Wei are all going too I believe.

Maybe you should ask them if they'd like to come along to MTC 2016 to do a feature on the event?

More good news! I just got back from another Toymods dyno day. This time my car put down 378rwkw (507rwhp)! MRC recently replaced the rear rollers on their dyno, and the knurling is sharper than before. This was enough to eliminate most of the wheelspin which had been occurring on many of my previous dyno runs. There were no changes to the tune at all, it was just a reduction in wheelspin which caused the significantly higher power figure. There was ~68% ethanol in the fuel (not the optimal 85%) and the boost level was 30psi as before.

That's nice and just confirms what you said earlier about not showing full power

Not so good. As I was going down the main straight on only my 5th lap of the day, one of the silicon bends (the one straight off the turbo) failed massively with a 10cm long split! It's my own fault, because I was sick of having a big ugly heat shield covering the beautiful exhaust manifold so I trimmed away some of the heat shield. When I trimmed it I only kept the part which protects the ignition coils, because I thought there was nothing else nearby that needed much protecting. For the most part I was correct, BUT I didn't realise how much the heat shield had been protecting that silicon bend, which is about 2 inches from the exhaust manifold. On a different topic: 1) Today I ordered a 4-Runner 1 inch bore brake master cylinder, as I should have done long ago to match the big brakes installed front and rear. Currently with the original master cylinder the brake pedal is too spongy and has too much travel, but both of these issues should be solved by the larger master cylinder. Easier heel-toe shifting here I come! 2) Tomorrow night I'll be taking my car to the Toymods drag night at WSID!
