Hey Brendan, You asked which tuner I used? Silverwater Automotive Services. That was my mechanics preference since he built motor. They seemed to do a decent job, car drives nice off boost etc.

No prob Trav. I think the boost con. is getting its signal from the inlet manifold from memory. Can anyone tell me what the barb/nipple shown below is connected to? The hose that is supposed to connect t o this barb/nipple is already connected, and all I have to do is fit it onto this barb/nipple, but I just wanna know where the hose goes to:

What the! That power figure is low. 680cc injectors at that duty should be in the realm of 220kw minimum. Why so much fuel for smallish turbo on 14psi? *blink*
Was that hose disconnected at time of tune? that would explain everything... massive boost leak.
There is meant to be a hose between that barb and a black steel pipe in the direction it is pointing.
If that hose was off during the tune, do -not- drive car under boost with the hose connected until a retune is done.
I assume it may have been disconnected when the pipe was removed for your dump pipe work/coating?
Call or email if I can help further. Forum browsing is not something I have the luxury of doing so often.

Thanks for the confirmation and advice Tristan. Really makes me feel more confident about my expectations.
Yes, that hose was disconnected at the time of the tune. And you are very likely correct that it was removed when I took off the dump pipe for the thermal coating. The only person I can blame for that is myself (aka NFI Auto), since I must have either not connected the hose back at all, or not clamped it down properly such that it slipped off some time later.
It was unfortunate that the tuner did not pick this up. I did leave him my mobile so that he could call me if there were any problems while tuning the car, but I guess he didn't see my car not being able to achieve 18 psi as a problem.
If that disconnected hose can be confirmed as the problem, then it's an easy fix. Thanks for the advice not to drive the car under boost with the hose connected. To be safe, I will drive the car with the hose remaining dis-connected until I can get it re-tuned.

I'm glad to hear it's something as simple as a disconnected hose. I look forward to your next tune and what numbers your car produces. Good luck man.

Yeah I'll be at the next week. I get back from holiday just 2 days before the next meet so I should still be in holiday mood.

Had my alarm replaced, so when the sparkie re-connected my battery (while I was working from home) he faced one of the terminals the wrong way. Half my fault for not double checking, because when the spare tyre went back in & bolted down, it was touching the terminal. True to form, it didn't short out till I was on the M4 in traffic. I pretty much knew where the problem was, but when I opened the frunk & reached for the bolt, I got a nasty shock with some nice sparks flying everywhere [B)] All sorted though, no damage done other than the bolt that ties down the spare is melted, snapped & resembles chalk [8)] Usually not an issue, but I recently installed a taller/bigger battery than usual.
