wheels are nice but those front tyres might rub with coilovers depending on what offset your wheels are

yeah picking up some 215/45 next weekend. The 225/45 are to large to clear the guards. I'm not too worried about clearing coilovers with 7.5" +30 on the front

Nice ride you have going on. Also good to see you gettin into some motorsport! Was wondering if you still have a tacho that seems to be out? I had same prob on my '90 SW20 until I found this website http://mr2.noegruts.com/tachometer/tachometer.htm, after replacing capacitors it's perfect again.

Have you got the whiteline bars front and rear?

I like the white door trims, makes the car look newer :)

Yeah the tacho is still out, thanks for the link. It'll be something I chase down later.
Whiteline bar on the front only. In one of the shots from that hillclimb you'll see a bit of body roll. That's probably because I was running it on the softest setting because of clearance issues. Now that I've put coilovers in it's not a problem any more.

Cheers, I think they're Lenso but I'm not sure.

Luisi Corsa wheel on a Momo boss. Took a bit drilling and tapping but now I've got a boss with Nardi and Momo PCD.

New BC BR coilovers and Megan Racing pillow ball rod ends.

Wheeled it out for a hose down and some quick photos with the coilovers in and the new wheels on. It's too damned scary to drive with the wheel alignment this far out. I'll have to get it on a truck in a couple of weeks for its alignment. Hopefully I haven't bent it too bad.

More low?

very nicely done on the colour coded strips. You've made me decide that I'm going to do this too.
How did you prepare the surface? did you undercoat or just spray onto the plastic.

Not sure if you have the same issue I did, but I went to a 215/ 40 profile tyre, made clearance issues go away - esp when you turn to lock - I found that my tyre scrubbed the chasis.  fixed with the 40profile tho :)

Thanks,
I gave them a rub down with some 120 grit sandpaper, then some plastic specific undercoat then three coats of paint. 18 months later they still look great, except for where the strips have been used by other considerate motorists as bump stops for their doors . Put some pics up when you're done.

I ended up getting 215/40 tyres also and once the alignment is fixed I'm certain I won't have any problems.

Keen to know what you think of the shocks when you get it all sorted, I had a look at a set today.

Very happy with the BCs. Their low speed response is a bit rough but once up to speed they dampen perfectly.

Had some major progress on the car recently.

1MZFE out of 2000 Avalon

Tracking down parts at the moment. All I'm waiting on is a 1MZ/3VZ flywheel, Adaptronic e420d and my mount from Woodsport.

Nice! the 1MZFE from the Avalon revs a bit higher and puts out a smidge more power than the one from the Camry/Vienta.

very very nicely done! Ill be watching this thread with a lot of interest.  When my motor goes, it's getting an avalon.  Are you mating this to a Gen3 gearbox?

I'm sticking to the S54, for now atleast. They seem to handle a stock 1MZFE well enough and if Woodsport is prepared to fit them to their conversions then they're good enough for me. With the Adaptronic I could be pushing into the 170kw range so at some point an E153 will need to go in. Or alternatively S53/S52 internals and a ZZW30 LSD could be put into the S54 housing.

If anyone has a stock turbo exhaust they want to sell please let me know.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VC3SIp3yzco <- that's a Camry Y-pipe going into a turbo exhaust :D

Also if anyone just happens to have a 3VZ/1MZ manual flywheel sitting around or knows of one sitting around somewhere I'm definitely interested. I refuse to pay wreckers >$200 for one.
