Nah man I'm still waiting to get the block back. Still some time before the mr2 will be back. I bought another car, that's how much longer I think this is gonna take.

Some progress
 
Valves all in. Just waiting on my collet installer to arrive to press the springs in.

 
Did a lot of this

 
Textured bores to bed new rings in. Not honed hence no crosshatching.

 
Measuring main bearing clearances.

 
This may be a sign that this improvised position is not suitable for mounting the transmission.....

It works really well.. unlike boiling valve covers on the stove top.
