I finally got some more hose and fitting from the states, They say they have it in stock and take the money and about a month later they say there still waiting for something to come in. Same thing happened with the last lot as well.
I went to see the engine builder to find out what was happing with the throttle body adapter and a few other bits he was doing and he still had not done anything. Now Im just going to use the original ones. My plan was to keep all the stock parts so I could put a std engine back in if I ever needed to, but think it might just be easier to buy another engine.

There was also a problem with the ceramic coting so that has to be redone as well. He has no idea why it has done it but is going to redo it hopefully by next weekend

Dose anyone know what theses are called and if you can get new ones

I got the oil cooler lines hooked up but I had to move the oil cooler slightly as I didnt leave enuf room for the fittings so that meant also making a new shroud. Also Ive redone the engine loom but decided to first get it running off the dissy then I will change to the crank angle sensor.
Ive run -6 for the fuel supple and return lines. I was going to use the original ones because Im still unsure what I want to use. I have 800cc sards and a walbro but I want to use E85 so they will need to be upgraded.

For the body Ive decided Im not going to use either of the painters that did the bay. I did have the car already half striped so putting it back together so I will be able to drive it to a couple of places.
Also while putting it back together I noticed how much forgiving the bumpers are than fiberglass ones so a little unsure what Ill end up doing body wise now. I have a Border front, Toms sides and rear and TRD widebody wing that I was going to use

I went to see Trent at Chequered Tuning, the engine had only done 100km including the session on the dyno, so he hasnt done much past 4500rpm and the cam gears are still at 0.
He seams pretty impressed with whats been done to it so far.
Only problem that there was is I had not hooked the thermos to the ecu so they were turning on at the factory 94 deg and he thinks this is a tad hot. Ive had this fixed now and also replaced the thermostat with a 86deg one

heres a pic of what the engine bay looked like. I had already decided it was going to come back out and get all the bits ceramic coated so didnt bother painting anything else.

I also hooked up the crank angle sensor and had a misfire at (5700rpm I think) after a lot of trouble shooting/research I found out I needed to put another resistor in the ecu to cope with the 60-2 wheel. At the same time I also switched back to the quieter fujitsubo exhaust and lost 4psi boost 40rwkw (down to 10psi and 180rwkw)
The cat in this exhaust is much more restrictive than the other exhaust I had on the car, but when the car is complete we will do a run with each exhaust

Next came a lot of sanding, I still have more to do but lose interest pretty quick doing it
Heres a unfinished turbo housing

I had the holes filled and ground off a lot of unneeded things on the manifold. Ive had a fitting welded on back/underneath and will run a vacuum block off that.

Then came time to strip the gear box. I had to get everything out of it so the housing can be ceramic coated.

While its apart im going to replace all the bearings, syncros and a few other things. Still need to order all this
Decided to get quaife diff

Ive also pulled apart the Alt, dizzy, starter motor, throttle body to be ceramic coated. Anything that was silver we be getting done.

I got a fuel rail kit and ID2000 from RacerX

The last pic just reminded me I have to get the valve cover repainted aswell. need to fill the hole thats in between the 2 and 3 spark plug holes. It seams every time I look at it I find something else that needs to be done.

I brought a set of the Innovative engine mounts as well they prob be about a month before I get them. I still need to get a fuel pump will most likely end up with a dual Walbro set up

Wow, looks great.

Cool time lapse vid too!  I would put the chassis stands in place whenever getting under the car though, cheap insurance in case something happens.

Cheers

Loved your 9:44minute clip ('cept the last couple of seconds when I thought you'd lost it off the stands) and would like some more info on the GoPro camera.  What model? Where did you get it? etc. etc.

yeah should always use jack stands safety has never been my strong point.
Everyone comments on the last bit, the legs on the engine crane just always seam to get in the way. The nite before I took the spare engine off the pallet I could only put one of the legs down so im try to balance off the back. Haha I should of filmed that

Its the hero2 version and I just got it straight from there site. Its the motorsport one but there all the same camera just comes with different mounts. I havent really used it that much.
