nearly at a a point where it can be regoed. paint went blue on the wheels so repainted them. The fans stopped working, well worked all the time, swapped in a regular type fan switch with relay to get them going for the time being. After testing the mr2 fan switch once it was removed it seems it may have been the issue the whole time as aircon also isnt working atm. So hopefully swap in a new mr2 switch at some stage and it will all work again.

You really are making great progress. Congratulations. Well done. Battery Master Switch is a great improvement. Prevents all sorts of problems.

Regoed on friday, monster shakedown drive friday night and was faultless. Was actually too cool and dropping back to cold start. The gen 4 swap is amazing would demolish my caldina daily for the same setup. Very hesitant atm driving as I have never driven something with such light steering, not confidence inspiring but I'm sure is more a driving style thing. Torque pro was good for gauges but found I was staring so knocked up some gauge mounts with 25% off at autobarn. Who knew an mr2 needs about 3.5m of wire to the sensor lol.

Gave it a quick home frontend alignment and now the front end actually feels like its attached to the road. Bump steer is reduced but still quite annoying. Ordered some parts to sort the suspension so the wait begins. Having a caldina and now the mr2 with the gen4, would never suspect they are the same motor. So aggressive in the mr2 light body/gbox. Would honestly not like much more power for cruising through the hills of brissy.

Also have been struggling with some bump steer annoyances. My goal is to get the Wilhelm suspension kit but what parts did you order to combat it?

I ordered the wilhelm kit, parts are backordered atm so will be a while before it arrives. The quick home alignment made it feel like a different car.

Nice! I'll be ordering mine soon, keen to hear your results even though the kit speaks for itself

Started to struggle to get over 60 degrees, checked the thermostat and torn diaphragm. Also tridon(everywhere) has the wrong part listed for gen4 thermostats which I found out the hard way. I assume the listing is the earlier gens.

What's the width of your actual thermostat? Any luck on finding the correct one?
